Joy, the length of wire is essential for beginners.
@xenonmazi110410 жыл бұрын
Knittyneeds She means there's too much exposed wire. But I guess it can't really be helped with the size difference of the beads.
@Knittyneeds10 жыл бұрын
Xenon, sorry you have not understood my appreciation for this video tutorial. I guess I mentioned my appreciation in good English. I am a beginner so the longer the wire the better it is. Hope this helps. I haven't criticised or being nasty to this Lady who has put all her energy to make this video for us. Hope you understand what I meant.
@xenonmazi110410 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, perhaps you misunderstood me. What I meant, was the exposed wire between the beads, not the length of the wire she actually uses. I agree with the fact that being a beginner having extra wire is very helpful. But that is not what I was referring to.

This was a good pattern for a necklace; however, nowhere was there mention of approximately how many beads of each size were required. I understand it depends on the size of the necklace, but it would be advantageious to have an idea of roughly how many beads to use for a certain length . I found I had to find more beads as I progressed.
@Pandahall9 жыл бұрын
+Stephania Gibb Hi, really sorry for the inconvenience. Here is a text tutorial: lc.pandahall.com/articles/2013-how-to-bead-a-purple-pearl-lace-necklace-for-brides.html, I'm not quite sure whether it's useful or not, still hope it can helps. Happy crafting~
@stephaniagibb33819 жыл бұрын
+Pandahall Beads Thank you for sending this tutorial to me; however, again it does not list approximately how many of the various beads are required for an average length necklace. All the types of beads are listed, but not the approximate quantity. Do I need 50, 60 or more of the 4mm? How many of the other sizes? I had to go out to a bead store to buy more beads of one size as I ran out and am about 3/4 complete, so am guessing at how many beads it may take to complete.
@Pandahall9 жыл бұрын
+Stephania Gibb Sorry Stephania, it's an old video, and I can't find any records of the details, really sorry for the inconvenience...
@AnneMacA8 жыл бұрын
The 0.38mm wire crimped too much so I used Nymo bonded nylon thread, which worked well, if a bit slower. A useful video but the mournful music is a bit much.
@AllyGrabotin9 жыл бұрын
when you do your video you need to use conversions for centimeters to inches for people that never used centimeter. The US only been using centimeters for the last 10 to 15 years in schools people that was in school only knows the inch measurements. I am from the old school, I love your video but I am un able to do them because I don't no how much string or wire to measure out in inches. I would love to do your video

Well, as someone who often stumbles over words or can't get the right word out when I know what it is, even if I am looking right at the object, I can understand how such little mistakes are made. Especially when you're recording and probably a little nervous about how you'll come across to others. So, it's understandable. I was just bringing it to your attention but we all knew what you were trying to say so no big deal in the long run. This is still one of my favorite pieces, too! It's so beautiful. It makes me think of something Lwaxana Troi would wear. ^_^
