Glad the Mavs allowed him to stack some games together in the G. He really showed some nice efficiency especially behind the arc. Pleasant surprise there and he had a positive assist to TO ratio which was not the case in college. Lots of indication the kid has a solid understanding of the game and what he needs to work on imvho.

@@carnivalgods4573 That really surprised me, as his offensive production in college was pretty underwhelming, especially for a 3 year player. He seems like he definitely can play a role similar to Derrick Jones, while being even more versatile.

@@myrdin9216 I think that's a good comparison. His college stats aren't impressive,(similar to Doe Doe's) but I try to keep in mind he was still 17 when he started his freshman season. Perhaps as you mentioned, indicating a little more upside. Certainly handles the ball a bit and moves his feet laterally defensively.

@@myrdin9216 marquette fan...he just isn't a high usage guy on offense but thats ok, i don't want all 5 guys needing the ball...he was raw after he transferred in from clemson after his freshman year(didn't play much at all) at Marquette he was asked to guard the opposing teams best player and was pretty solid with that..had Tyler Kolek and others who were better with ball in there hands, but he developed and hit 3s at a good clip

I'm assuming they did the math and found out #5 spot is guaranteed, so they'll rest Kyrie and Luka for the last 2 games under fake injuries. But watching the Mavs getting ass whooped by the G-League Pistons at home made my eyes bleed. OKC will come with full force on sunday (stat-padder SGA would never miss games to get ready for playoffs and they're battling for #1), so I'm expecting a 50+ points blowout. On the bright side, Hardy and O-Max are looking good to join the rotation pretty soon.

Hardy and THJ are the most probable to go. Hardy won’t ever have a chance since we are guard heavy and he’s behind kyrie Luka josh green… I would keep Josh because he’s way more mature and better defensively than hardy, and he as developed a great corner 3. I would love the Mavs to go after Bogi that’s rotting in Atlanta, maybe have another talk with the hornets to get Miles bridges. THJ and hardy are realistic pieces that accompanied with a draft pick can get us these type of guys it’s unfortunate but hardy wont be able to develop here like a Dlive and Omax can
@senseiama1543
@senseiama1543 2 ай бұрын
@@user-fj9gg5jx5z Hardy has the chance to be our 6thman replacing THJ, Josh is definitely undersize to play at the 3 unlike Exum and DJJ with long wingspan that can put more pressure on defense, Josh Green is nowhere near to be our 6thman scoring type of scorer that can give offensive contribution off the bench, Josh Green role is way more replaceable since Omax could be possible candidate, Hardy already shows some improvements we saw in some games that he can hit big shots when needed that's the mentally we needed to play alongside with Luka, unlike Green that there's a limitation to his offense which is predictable for some cases, I'd take Hardy over Green anytime, no disrespect to Green but DJJ type of athlete on 3position is much better fit
@user-fj9gg5jx5z
@user-fj9gg5jx5z 2 ай бұрын
@@senseiama1543 I disagree. I think Josh green spacing to the corner and In-N-Out style of play that the Mavs love fits right into what Josh does. Space the floor, Athletic, Drives on close outs and is more matured. Mavs fans falling in love with hardy is understandable, the kid got potential but I see this being a Cwood situation where everyone wanted him in the starting lineup but no one understood how Cwood offense shined only against opposing second units and his defense plus reb was all around sluggish and bad. Hardy be it in college, G league or in the NBA is very inconsistent, he as developed in the playmaking category but he ain’t very strong when he attacks close outs and he lets the defense push him into a mid range shot most times than not. We need good 3nD players that can attack close outs so the ball keeps moving, it has been an occurrent theme in this year’s lineup: Long wingspan players, can push the floor, shoot the corner, attack close outs, be able to kick it out on the drive, catch lobs, DEFEND. Green doenst have a long wingspan, but he’s coming off the bench (not as a 6thman) and he fits right into every other category that the Mavs want. Hardy in the other hand is undersized, doenst have a long wingspan, gets targeted on defense, doenst really attack the close outs with the same force and he’s less matured with less chances of having minutes to really develop him. We can get a real 6th man out of a team that’s thinking of rebuilding, like the bulls for example, and let go of Hardy and THJ with a pick. We could get maybe a carusso (can run the floor, defends, shoots the 3, can definitely attack the close outs and can definitely fill the 6th man role, it’s an upgraded Exum). We have to remember that next year will be the year where we already solidified what our identity is. I wish all the best for Hardy but we can’t lose time to test him in the 6th man role when realistically coach Kidd already hinted this season with the minutes he has given to Hardy that he isn’t really in the plans, or else he would have definitely received more playing time, preparing him for a future 6th man role which he isn’t prepared for.

@@user-fj9gg5jx5z lol Hardy is 6'5 his body doesn't matured yet that's why he looks small, and when you talked about efficiency he's right there having limited is already an exception to judge him right away, but Josh that almost plays 25mins per game on his 5th year we saw how inconsistent he is, playing hot potato, not taking advantage of having Luka and Kai on his side, we know that he's been efficient on corner threes but he ain't it lol, we need more offensive versatility on that position, that's why JKidd already put DJJ on the starting role before Josh got hurt, he was supposed to be the starter not a bench guy, especially when you talked about his contract extension while DJJ makin a veteran deal just to be a crucial part of the rotation while Josh is simply replaceable coz Exum also playing at the 3 while THJ being our 6thman at 2, we're been winning becoz of 2 veteran minimum earners becoming vital part of our success, Hardy will take THJ role in the future Josh no where near what can Exum can bring to the table, he has no poise or better feel for the game, he's already on his 5th year lol, we know that Desmond Bane was supposed to be our guy, im also defending Green last season but him being unable to take a jump and take his role back is kinda disappointing, I'd rather resign DJJ and Exum next season and throw THJ and Green money out of nowhere, mavs can literally low ball Hardy's contract extension, and bring Omax and Lawson to the rotation
@user-fj9gg5jx5z
@user-fj9gg5jx5z 2 ай бұрын
@@senseiama1543 I’ll wait to see what transpires in the playoffs, green injuries definitely didn’t help him neither. All I know is I want Omax, Lawson can be that safety net if we let green, THJ or hardy go. Basically green THJ or hardy can be traded if that means we are getting a valuable asset back. Omax is the archetype wing that every team wants right now and guys like him ain’t cheap in this league. As long as we get something out of those 3 guys in a trade I really don’t care who goes, again, depending on what transpires in these playoff games
