Theory, kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoLZkKmaZrF4ers the potion that Hilder is holding a potion that Cain willing takes to weakest his power. This is why Isys and Kasijic manage to fight cain to a draw. Cain takes this potion because he is too powerful and nothing can entertain him anymore. Hilder made the effects of this potion only temperary as to keep cain on pandemonium in exchange for a constant supply of the potion. or it could be that cain is only weakened on Pandemonium.
