"Before a concert I don't like to eat. I drink just tea. You don't need food, the energy just comes. When you enjoy something, you forget about yourself. Some kind of special power generates in your body, you don't get tired." Pt. Swapn Chaudhari.

This is one of the best Lahara from Swapan Chaudhary .I listen to this many times. After listening I cannot do anything but to site alone for 15 minutes and let the play replay in my mind. I don't write Pandit in front of his name because he is something else beyond definition.

Tabla is the most sweetest instrument among all leather based drums....when there lies a question of " meetha bol ", i.e sweet in listening, there should be two names..... Pandit Keramatulla Khan And Pandit Swapan Chowdhuri.

If you say about clarity he is best among all.
@Prof_Hazra_IIT6 жыл бұрын
For clarity it has to be Pandit Anindo Chatterjee...Pandit Swapanji is best in terms of the tonal balance and weight. Clarity-wise nobody matches Pandit Anindo Chatterjee and in recent times Pandit Yogesh Samsi in executing extremely difficult boles and traditional fingering. And put clarity, speed, weight, nikaas and virtually everything else it has to Ustad Ahmedjan Thirakwa and Ustad Afaq Hussain Khan who are the best. Where does Zakirji fit into: bringing the soul out of tabla and the uncanny ability to execute extremely difficult calculations (laaykari) extremely naturally. Nobody can extract musical aesthetics and sur from tabla better than the quintessential Ustad Zakirji.
@deepranjanghosh18516 жыл бұрын
@@Prof_Hazra_IIT can't agree with you. Swapan jis clarity is best among all. Anindo ji has excellent clarity but swapanji plays every stroke with perfect tone that sounds the best. And if you say dhere dhere after Anokhe Lal ji nobody played such clear dhere dhere
