Miyako, piano & guitar, started piano at 3yo, picked the guitar at 17/18. No formal lessons! Miyako wrote the music and did the arrangement with Asami, singer, writing the lyrics. All write songs with Miyako having written about half of their songs. They have performed at 2 Metal Music Festivals in Europe and toured with Dragon Force in the UK. Waiting for them to play in Los Angeles, but covid has to be beaten back. Also the band is in a hiatus due to Miho (bass) leaving the band due to the death of her father, Asami announcing her pending marriage, and Miyako announcing that she is having a baby and getting married! Might be a while!!

I'd like to give a shout out to Miho. Her bass part doesn't always stand out, but she's playing every song using just her fingers, not picking. Her endurance and precision are worthy of praise.

This song is masterpiece. Metal with element classical. Is not easy at all to make and play the song like this. Only musicians world class can do it. Thank you for coming back to Lovebites. Some background on "Swan Song": Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant.

Miho, Haruna and Asami , all studied piano too, hence the high arrangement level of this band. They absolutely floor with their skill at arranging parts and the songs in general. Not even Queen could have pulled this off, these girls have set a new level.

I told you Miyako was a classically trained pianist. I don't know if I like watching her play guitar or piano more she is a musical genius. Other song you should check out of theirs include but not limited to are Thunder Vengance, Don't Bite the Dust, Holy War, Raise Some Hell, and Empty Daydream.

Great reaction video and great song selection. In my opinion, this song is one of the most beautiful songs in the history of Heavy Metal. A musical gem "par excellence" and a great tribute to Chopin, Dvorak or Tchaikovsky. The musical genius of Miyako (dark haired pianist and guitarist), who is the composer of this song, can be felt in this song. In my opinion, Miyako is one of the best music artists of our time. A musical masterpiece performed by this fantastic and one of the best metal bands today. I believe you might like the songs Edge Of The World, Empty Daydream, Set The World On Fire, When Destinies Align or the new song The Nameless Warrior. I love all their songs. Especially their live performances are phenomenal. Keep Up The Great Work :-).
