I bought my own Submersible today :D !!!! SO HAPPY !! Stainless version :) LOVE IT, greets from Finland

@seanqx56 The thing about the Big Pilot for me is the leather band. Not sure I can wear a leather band every day - too much water around etc. Sounds crazy but that's why I choose the 25 vs. the 88. The 88 is the polished look and busier face which makes it flashier.

Larry, what camera did you use to shoot the video of your Sub? Excellent quality.

It's a classy watch I'll give you that. I've always had my eye on Zenith.

@larrygreenberg Was the winder not worth it? I always think to myself letting the power reserve on some of my watches go dead when I don't wear them takes a toll on them after time. Also I'm right with you none of my friend can understand why I spend so much on watches.
@danfrisco12 жыл бұрын
I understand why you went with titanium due to it being lighter. I can't see myself personally opting for titanium on a high end watch. The material scratches much easier than stainless steel and I would be afraid to wear something that expensive during an entire day since I am a pretty active person. If you do future videos on watches please zoom in on the dial so we can actually get a better sense of the movement and how the dial looks.

Wanted a panerai for so long. Thinking about selling my breitling 6.75 Bently. You purchased this direct from panerai?
@Runaroundtech12 жыл бұрын
@danfrisco Thanks! As I understand it titanium has better self healing properties. Even though Ti scratches easier it is more durable than SS. A few strokes of a simple ink eraser will remove almost all scratches on a Ti watch. Very simple to do and the results are outstanding. A ss watch needs serious buffing to remove scratches.

Is the deployant clasp steel or titanium? Great piece, I am buying one pre-owned. They are getting rare now as this model is discontinued. Tried the steel one , way too heavy and chunky, this is the way to go for a Submersible.

This is the first video I've ever seen by you, but i sincerely think you ought to go out and buy more watches; then after you get home make a review! I really liked it and also the watch of course ;) Panerai is great!

First of all,Congrat's on this purchase Larry. I can't say that i have seen or herd of this brand personaly, But after seeing the picture's you showed on Twitter the other day, I have to say it's very impressive for a watch. Knowing you a little and your watch collecting, Definatly a worth while investment for your collection. I honestly thought you would have gone for a Rolex.

@larrygreenberg I have seen the Big pilot with a fabric band thats what i would go with for myself for everyday. Your right leather and water big mistake. I think the hublot with the rubber band would be perfect for me.

@larrygreenberg Do you have anything speical you store your watches in? Or keep them in a watch winder? I have a few watches myself but I hate when I don't wear it and the power reserve dies.
@Runaroundtech12 жыл бұрын
@seanqx56 I ordered a leather band for the Panerai that's waterproof. Should be interesting.

I wear the titanium rep version for my daily beater. It runs great is waterproof and looks just like the authentic plus I don't have to worry about damaging it cause it only cost me $300.

What about Breitling ? Are you familiar with the brand ? Would you advise buying one?
@theamericano39666 жыл бұрын
Federico Di Giuseppe Yes. Very good brand. Classic aviator watches. They are a bit under the radar with dive watches, but they make(made) some goodies. If you like the PAM 25 titanium then try and find a Breitling avenger seawolf titanium. Same kind of theme. The titanium version has been discontinued a while. Mine is a 2008. Best dive watch I've used in its natural habitat(including sub and seamaster not planet ocean) Robust and accurate with good lume and crisp 120 click bezel. COSC certified. You can't really go wrong with Any of the top brands. It's about budget I guess. Also the Breitling emergency stands alone as a watch for those that have very risky occupations, pilot, explorer, poineer etc. But price prohibitive for most. Good luck on your Horological journey.
