We have been in Pangkor Marina for 3 months now and it's time we share why we chose this marina in Malaysia to start our sailing experience. In this video we share the 4 Reasons WHY We Chose this Marina instead of others.

Our Story
Hi there, we're Sam & Rene - since 2017 we've quit the rat race in order to explore a more simple life. We built a small campervan with a goal to drive it from Malaysia to the UK - the pandemic has changed our plans and we're now based in Pangkor Marina on a sailboat learning about Sailboats and Sailing.

I know it is posted a year ago, the advantage of pangkor marina is location at main land compares to Langkawi, an island. pangkor marina has the facility for MRO.

Pangkor Marina is truly an amazing place and the community is the one that makes this place buzzing with life. I am glad to get to visit you all and get to know James there. I was amazed with how friendly the freelance contractors and the workers are and the clockwork manner all of them work towards the passion of keeping boats and the boaters safe in the marina. And you aren't joking about the food... I ate so much during the visit and gained a few pounds. Definitely coming by again and will try out boat chartering, fishing trips and probably hop pver to pangkor from there too! The last commercial visit there for me was to take the boat over to Pangkor Laut...

We bought our boat on the hard stand in May, Launched it in end July right into the monsoon season where there's heavy rain so we're waiting to go out when the sailing season hits. Supposed to be soon Nov thru to May however it's still rainy so more like Dec. ☺️

Is Pangkor Marina a club or public use - How does it work, do we pay for their services when needed or monthly fee? Cant find much info on web like if I wanna keep a recreational boat (on land) Thanks

It's a private Marina and you can contact them directly for their marina rates. Do you need their number?
