You guys ever go over to Otter Creek. There are some chunks in there.

Looks like you are using mini jigs. How do you decide whether to cast mini jigs or spartan minnows?
@GoldenStateFishing6 ай бұрын
I say they both work equally but I’ve been throwing mini jigs for 30 years so just feels more like home to me 🎣

Sinister braid. I bought some black colored. Will try it for the first time in early June. It comes in a lot of colors. Which color is the most visible to the fisherman? It looks like you are using a pink or orange color. Why is that your choice?
@GoldenStateFishing6 ай бұрын
I like brighter colors easier to see and with the leader the fish don’t see it at all .

I was just there on the 23rd! Bro there was an INSANE hatch and everyone was swarmed lol... I didn't bring my float tube this time, but the bite was incredible. What's awesome is I caught a similar fish too...like a brook trout/ tiger hybird. Super cool. We got a nice 4lb tiger on a gold blade - black joes fly spoon. I'm not sure if it's true or not but I heard a local talking about some "H" channel in the lake that's quite a bit deepr that runs from the north boat ramp area down to the south boat ramp. I've been to panguitch ice off once and there was this old man next to me throwing catfish poles from the boat ramp. This guy was pulling MONSTERS out like it was hotcakes. I'm talking 12+lb trout. He was using fresh chub meat, which im pretty damn sure is illegal to use. Just food for thought though! I'd be curious if you could map the lake and discover this deeper "H" channel I heard about. You guys should check out the Uinta National Forest area man...some really good fishing.

Using chub meat isn’t illegal in Utah. Only you can’t use live chubs

If you don't mind me asking, how much $ you got into your kayak? With accessories and all?

If you don’t count my trailer just the kayak and extras probably around 6500-7000

I’m pretty sure that was a splake. Brook/lake trout hybrid. Couldn’t really see the fork in the tail, but if had teeth, splake. They put a bunch in there last year.
@GoldenStateFishing6 ай бұрын
I don’t think so I do know there is some brook trout in that lake I don’t think any splake

Again great video guys. Tomorrow morning we will be on our way to Panguitch lake and I’m wondering what fishing rod you use? I have 7f and 7f 6in light and ultra light fishing rod. Is that gonna be ok for to fish for rainbow trout or tiger trout etc…

Please stop posting where places are. We are way over touristed and so tired of the trash and noise and junk that is brought into our areas. Think of the impact before you post.
