Catholics have always had the most beautiful sacred music and sacred art. It ain't by accident either!! God has given so much to the Catholic Church, and we have in turn, tried to show His truth, His justice and His love to our fellow man.

I think Iranian music is more beautiful than Catholic music honestly. I think that God expresses through humanity exquisitely through all cultures because each person is made in God's image an likeness. God expresses through us and does not favour one expression of itself over the other 💜

@iloveyellow They are; however, the College/Chapel was Roman Catholic when constructed (under Henry the VI). Henry the VIII exited the the Roman Catholic Church and started the Anglican Church after confiscating all Catholic Church properties (Abbeys, Colleges, Cathedrals, Hospitals, Orphanages, Convents, Mills/businesses, etc.). The lyrics to this hymn were written by Saint Thomas Aquinas, one of Catholicism's most influential philosophers, theologians, jurist, priest and Church Father. The music was written by Catholic French Composer/organist Cesar Franck. The song praises the Holy Eucharist which is referred to as "Panis Angleicus" (the bread of the Angles) which is believed to become the literal Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ through the miracle of Transubstantiation (Anglicans/Protestants do not believe this) and the consecration of the bread by the priest (which is in fulfillment of Jesus' command to his disciples at the last supper, "Do this in memory of Me").

No there isn’t! King’s College is also home of The King’s Singers, an octet of young men singing well-known pop tunes & love songs all a capella. They are sharp! And their harmonizing is spot-on & they’re also from Kings College. This choir here is phenomenal & the professional filming like the spanning of the church & then zooming in on the angels that are sculptured there, was extremely well-done. Let’s hope it was done by some in-house students majoring in filming & broadcasting or photography & audio-visual geeks…
