Recipe :
Moong Dal Halwa
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 cup moon dal
1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 cup water
½ cup dry fruits
¼ cup ghee
Method:
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. lightly fry the dry fruits and remove.
In the same pan, add the moong dal and roast over low heat till golden brown in colour.
Cool and grind to a coarse powder.
Heat the remaining ghee in the pan. add the powdered moong dal and the milk. Cook till the moong dal is thoroughly cooked and the milk is all absorbed. Add the water and then the sugar and mix well. Allow the mixture to thicken. Add the dry fruits and serve. You may add more ghee on top to serve.
