Nice jam. This is a good upgrade for your setup. Looking forward seeing what more you can do with the mavis. :)

I have a werkstatt but I'm not really sure what to use it for since it's the only synth I have
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
You can make some nice bass sounds for your songs. It also makes some creamy leads....

@@JPblasc I mostly use it for weird fx since idk how to play keyboards and I don't have a sequencer

@@logimite7174 that's a good use for it as well!

@@JPblasc which one would you recommend if you only had one Moog product? I know the price difference and that’s not really important
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisTopheRaz if weight is not a limitation, I'd recommend the Matriarch, it is a synth with endless possibilities. Among the smaller synths, I prefer the Mavis. I uses to own a voyager rack mount edition and loved it as well, it had the smoothest filter. I guess the RME voyager would be my top moog synth. How about you?

omfg !! where did you get the set of knobs on the werktatt ?!?!
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot!!! The knobs I bought from Ali Express (you can search for "potientiometer knobs"). I beleive you can also get them at amazon, albeit at 5 times the price. Thanks for watching!

Nice going. This is how I want to pair my two little Moogs up. Are your Mavis and Werkstatt CV connected together, or are they both driven by an external sequencer? I am just starting to set mine up, but can't figure out your cabling, everything is black :)
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The moogs are driven by the same sequence from an external sequencer. One is panned to the left and the other to the right. I use a euclidean sequencer to open their filters with different rythms. (Black cables are cheaper by the lot). Have you finished pairing your Moogs?
@montxsuz2 жыл бұрын
@@JPblasc Thanks for the reply. No I was still doing homework. I wanted to figure out how to use the either as a CV source, but neither has a Gate-Out - only a KB CV-Out for pitch. From reading the manual, these connections all exist in the Werkstatt patchable header, but they are not patched into the CV Extension. But I think I know how to connect the two with a Sequencer to drive both - through the Mavis Multi. My 3rd Moog, the Theremini also only has the CV-Out for pitch (but no CV inputs) so this must be a cheaper Moog thing. I might stick that into my Korg Volca Modular.
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
@@montxsuz yeah, I think an external sequencer with two mults is the way to go. I hadn't realized there is no gate output on either synth! It great you have a theremini, I used to own an etherwave theremin, but I was never really that good at playing it.
@montxsuz2 жыл бұрын
@@JPblasc The Theremini is easier, it corrects the notes per scale. Not for purists. Also I forgot to mention I have just ordered a h/w euclidean sequencer, the Torso T-1. BF price. At the moment I will use the Korg SQ-64. Which seq do you use?
@JPblasc2 жыл бұрын
@@montxsuz The Torso T-1 looks very interesting. I use an erica synths black sequencer and also al erica synths drum sequencer.
