I remember seeing the Panoz Esperante when it was racing and it's the loudest car I have ever heard to this day, the ground shook when it went past! The Marcos Mantara LM600 that is also seen in this video is also up there with some of the loudest I have heard.

The 6 liter Ford Motorsport v8 is one of the most absolutely brutal sounding engines I've ever heard. They make a CanAm car sound like a Rolls Royce

I have seen and heard live several large capacity racing cross plane V8 without silencers but the Esperante GTR-1 had the most intense pulsating of all.

@purwantiallan5089 I'm lucky to know the owner of an original GT40, and have spent time as passenger in it. While I absolutely adore the GT40, the sound doesn't even compare. The Ford 6 liters were running about 15:1 compression. You can feel it in your chest, teeth, hair, everywhere. It's incredible.
