He stated that even when that album was being recorded at Pantego Sound Studio(now defunct), Phil wasn't really screaming. It just sounded like he was due to "recording tricks" they used.

Zakk Wylde was not going to fully imitate the Dime Darrell's style. He warned about this. Each musician has his own technique and sound. In any case, tribute or reunion took place. Estuvo increible, he tenido la opotunidad de ver grandes bandas como AC/DC, Scorpions, Megadeath, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Deep Purple, Carlos Santana, Tame Impala, Jungle, Judas Priest, etc, y les juro que en ninguno de esos conciertos la gente estaba tan emocionada como con PANTERA, fue algo muy especial e increible ver a toda la comunidad del metal tan unida. Man, I am so happy hearing Phill singing like a fucking beast again. They sound amaizing, and even if Dime and Vinnie are not with us it's great to have Pantera alive again. This is much more than the tribute band people said this was going to be.

Alright. I’m digging it. However, 3 things I would like to see. One, is for Zakk to use Dimes gear like he promised. He’s not getting the Dime Crunch out of those EMG’s. He needs the Dimebucker in a Dean or Washburn. Two, for Zakk to cut out the Ozzy/BLS squeals everywhere. And Three, I’d really love for them to play the full song of Cemetery Gates. It’s an amazing song and I think they’d do it well.

They sound awesome. Hope I get a chance to see them. I saw Pantera on their last tour ever in 2001. One of the best shows Ive ever seen. RIP Dime on this tragic anniversary day and RIP Vinny. I wish they could have reconciled things before the Abbott brothers died. Such a tragedy unto itself.

I'm happy to hear them back on stage playing these great songs they will never be a band like Pantera in the heavy metal world but it will never be Pantera without the brothers Abbot Phil sounds great for a 55-year-old man and Rex Brown still plays great bass Zach is a good guitar player but he's not dime bag Charlie's a great drummer but he's not very Vinnie Paul long live the brothers I'd go see the concert if they came to Miami just to see them one more time saw Pantera 97 at ozzfest when I was 21 loved it
