It could be that your wrist is perspiring and the salinity of the perspiration might be causing a reaction with the steel and your skin in hot conditions. Given the wear on your watch you evidently wear it daily. When you take it off, Try simply giving it a gentle once-over for a few moments with a jewellers cloth a couple of times a week. It will bring back the gold lustre, reduce scratches and remove any residual salts. Or wear it looser!

Oh I adore this watch :) I have a Cartier Ballon Bleu and Tank Francaise so I've decided for my next watch to dip my toe into Rolex for a Datejust but I will be back to Cartier to get the Panthere (I would love it in gold but one can dream)

I think if you plan to sell it in future? Then no. Don't do it. It's too personal and may disway potential buyers .

Hi Amal. Thanks for your comment. Given that prices generally rise each year, I believe it will be more expensive in stores. It is not a rare limited edition piece at the moment, so can’t tell for sure if it will hold its store value im the future. But from what I see in second hand market, used watches are slightly cheaper than brand new ones. But again this is just my opinion now (it might change, or I may be wrong completely). No matter what, I believe that cartier watches today would make a beautiful vintage pieces tomorrow to pass on to children/grandchildren. 🌸
