[MHFU] Slaying the Sinking Feeling Tigrex without leaving 1★

Yeah, I'm a gamer (in game time was around 1h 16m)
Some of the features (true raw values, granny peddler stock from cat in gathering hall, blood impact effects etc.) are from a patch called "FU Complete", it adds a few features and changes a handful of things and it's very good, more information here:

That was an impressive win. I generally avoid trying those "you aren't really supposed to do this hunt now" kinds of quests, but you pulled through. The only "hunting story" I have to share that is close to this is a Baggi hunt I had to do on P3rd that was actually interrupted by a Deviljho, and I decided to hunt it. I managed to finish the actual objective and kill the last Baggi after defeating Deviljho with only 1 second left on the clock, literally.

as someone who's looked into the ps2 games' code, i can confirm yellow sharp and below have the attack timing mechanics in every game, from the jp release of MH1 to testing with the toadversary in Rise. some bonus trivia, the ESP skill simply removes the timing mechanic again from yellow sharp and below in MHG (ps2). you can also only get the GS 1.05x middle hitbox bonus in the good timing span, whether extended via high sharp or skill or not

Hello! The vid is awesome, you've convinced me to Lance the 'Rex and you're right, it is safe and makes Tigrex MHFU hunting bearable. As a gunner I rarely get hit but the problem is it takes so long to 'game-end' Rex and I find using melee weapons to be far more effective against him as you deal far more damage in exchange of course of the constant tripping and tick damage you get when fighting the Rex. Especially at GRank :D

I just did this while at HR1. First, I gathered ores to make ravager blade. I then killed khezu (2 star in gathering hall) and got the khezu shock blade. With mafumofu, armor+power seed and khezu gs I killed it with 10 min. to spare. Thanks for the useful tips! Too bad this tiggy only drops shells and scales (tail cuts just give scales).

Hey Head...it's me again. I've quit Freedom Unite, but am still active in other games. I was just past Nargacuga in the village when i quit i think. Update on my 4U progress, i've beaten the caravan story! Including Apex Seregios and Rusted Kushala, and am now making progress in the hub. This was after 2 or 3 months of putting the game down because Frenzied Brachydios is the hardest fight in the story by far. I was playing just GU in that period where i dropped it, along with other game series like i always do(mainly Kingdom Hearts, have gotten back into Ratchet And Clank recently too). How have you been doing?

Buying meat (and flash bugs etc) is part of the Granny Peddler's DLC stock, you can see more info here: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/map/6218-peddler-item-set-list Being able to buy all of the granny peddler's stock from the cat in the gathering hall (and a handful of other EXTREMELY nice features) is a cheat and part of FU Complete, it's also why there's blood during my attacks and also why the weapons are using their true values (Paladin Lance shows 110 instead of what it normally shows as 253) (253 / 2.3 = 110) More info here, it's probably the best way to play MHFU nowadays: github.com/FUComplete/Patch I'm not sure if the cheats they have will work without FU Complete, never tried it, but you could try it.

I also know that some people refer to it as the New World because it's a new location with new monsters and unexplored territory though so I guess there is that to consider but, in the end yeah its just monster hunter.
