@@HeadHunter455 I've been running through the game recently trying to beat all quests in village and guild hub. This is my first monster hunter game since I was a kid and the furthest I got then was high rank village and got stuck on one horned demon blos. Since I came back I managed to clear out all of guild low rank, village high rank minus the last g level Quest, and am now working on clearing guild high rank. I'm running with an Azure rathalos and akantor mixed set with a smolder dragonsword and narga ls and been clearing my way through most fights, including plesioth, but b. Gravios is just a wall that took me multiple tries to get through because he let off gas too frequently that I really needed to know what people used against him. Being honest, it always felt like I sucked at gunning but now this just makes me think I didn't have the proper set up or weapon for the job.

Since i didn’t have the Narga Helm/Cap I used the Black Belt Helm S; with torso inc and some specific jewel placements has the same abilities as the full armor set

I'm avoiding using the black belt armor in general, but nice! Not a bad idea, I know the narga helm/cap can be annoying to get :( but I figure Narga's not the worst monster to have to farm if you had to, at least personally.

I have a really little amount of rajang materials and I'm scared of wasting them for a weapon I'd only use one time...is it useful for other hunts or there are stronger and more useful rajang weapons in mhfu?

I mean, you could use another bowgun if you really want, just get one that can use Water S and at least pierce level 2. Everything I recommend is what I think is relatively reasonable to acquire while still being effective, I've always intended people to use this as something to build off of and tweak to their own preferences.

ok i swear this is the last tigrex question so i recently got my brain to work and think of tranq bombs, i was wondering if percentage could stack and so that if i could break the head then capture it, would that give me 13% chance of getting the skull shell in rewards? im certain that when u break its head its 8% then if u capture it is 5%

That's not really how probability works, but it's a good question and one that I've had to answer for myself many times, let me try and remember how to explain it because I always forget, full disclosure I'm not great with math, especially not this stuff: Head Break: 8% Capture: 5% The way I've had it explained to me is you have a 92% chance to NOT get the drop from the head break (100% - 8% = 92%), and a 95% chance to NOT get it from the capture (100% - 5% = 95%) You can then do: (1 - .92 * .95) and ignore the negative sign to get the chance of getting ONE drop from these TWO chances. which will give you a 12.6% chance, which is close enough to 13% but it's not quite. If you did a head break (8%) and carved Tigrex 3 times (which is a 3% chance each time, 3 times), following this method you'd find you'd have a ~16.03% chance to get ONE skull shell from the 4 chances you get, if you were to add 8% head break to the (3% * 3) carve you'd have 17%, which is almost a full percentage above the actual chance. Hopefully this was helpful and not too confusing lol, it'd make more sense if you used it yourself a few times, I'm not great at math but I think it'd be good to make a video eventually talking about probabilities and trying to optimize/figure out drop rates and what to do and all that. I got a lot of help from MandrilTom from our discord, they're the ones who told me this formula thing in the first place lol Just remember: (1 - your chances of NOT getting the item multiplied together) then ignore the negative sign. Also remember that percentages are viewed as decimals where 100% is 1 and 50% is 0.50. Hope that helps haha

I have a question. Does the "laser beam" of the Black Gravios deal damage on another Black Gravios? Currently on a 2 Black Gravios quest.

Monsters can hit other monsters with basically any of their moves, but the damage they deal is reduced by a bunch, especially compared to how much health you have and damage you take, I dunno why or how it works really. So, yeah they will damage each other and can even kill one another (I've had a couple of times where a conga killed a congalala or a velociprey finished off something like a rathian or something) but it's super unlikely and any damage is so low you shouldn't really try and get them to hit each other on purpose.

Im curious on how well lbg for g rank solo? Im playing this only in blade master. Want to re experience it with gunner. But its tough on ammo management and crit distance. Is lbg viable for soloing from low rank to end g rank. And what kind of armor set is good?

I'm not really the one to ask honestly, my main weapon is LS, I just try to vary up the types that I use as I progress through the game, as well as ones that I'd recommend for having an easier/more enjoyable time. mazereon, a bowgun user, made a long guide if you'd like to skim through it, it's pretty damn useful: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/56818 As far as I can tell, all of the gunner weapons are quite good, particularly late game. Bows are really good for some fights, like Shen Gaoren and Lao-Shan Lung.

Rapid fire of Pierce S and Pellets S, are quite effective and fast tbh, like Gravios is tough but not to hard to beat, and it had alot of weaknesses to it's attack animations like; THE BEAM,THE TAIL WAG, SPIN, CHARGE, AND BELLY FLOP.

Can you make a video about a fight against high rank black gravios using dual blades? Because I am really having a hard time finishing the quest. I am running out of time. Even though I am using narga dual blades (hidden ones) and ceanataur armor with sharpness+1

Not all monsters should be fought with every weapon type, honestly. Some weapons are just not as suited to certain monsters, that's not at all to say it's impossible, just that you'll be fighting harder than if you just used a better weapon for the fight.

@@HeadHunter455 thanks still for the help. I just finished the quest finally using dual blades. I used 2 lbb+ and 1 small barrel bomb while black gravios is in the pit fall trap and I repeat the process for the second time after i combined again for another 2 lbb+. I was not able to craft the third pitfall trap though because it failed. Then I use the water dual blades, guild knight sabers and I broke his chest. Then I was able to finish the quest.

There's things I like more and less about Rise, same with any game in the series. I've yet to do a lot of the new event quests, but I'd like to. On stream, like before. I haven't been able to stream anything scheduled on KZbin like before for various reasons, just impromptu things when I'm able to on Twitch for now. You can capture Garuga, check my Garuga video for specifics on using pitfall traps, I think shock traps work fine regardless but last shorter, but it won't necessarily give you more rewards, there's a better chance for some rewards, varying from monster to monster, so sometimes you'll want to capture for the higher chance, but you're not guaranteed more rewards. According to this pretty great guide: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/59065 "You'll get 2 or 3 stacks for capturing." using armor skills can give you up to 4 drops for capturing. Remember you usually get 3 carves per kill, for a comparison.
