as a canadian-born tampa fan, living in southern ontario. i am rooting for FLA to wipe our EDM. i am sincerely happy for the hard work that GM zito has done since 2020 to put the organization where it is right now. the oilers fans and canadian media have been hyping up and defending the oilers and downplaying FLA saying it's only because of bobrovsky, and because of no state income tax. i'm all for people rooting for their team but the delusional trash talk, ignorance and disrespect for FLA has been disgusting. i'm looking forward to seeing the 1st finals sweep since 1998 , on saturday night. and in the event EDM pulls off the upset, florida will def wipe out EDM in game 5.

@carparthero I agree, I am from The USA and am a Wild fan 1st, I root for 2 other teams (Panthers and Kraken) this year I was rooting for Oilers to take out the Stars because they are a dirty team and even though i am rooting for the panthers I would have been happy with either team to win the cup. Fast forward to the game where the Oilers thought it was okay to play dirty and take out the captain. Now I cannot wait for a sweep and hope Oilers never get back to the cup game again. No suspensions, no fines, its complete BS. Guaranteed if the roles were reversed and golden boy McDavid was dirty hit, suspension and fines would have been given. Don't be surprised if/when the panthers are up by a few goals tonight with a few minutes remaining that the panthers get payback for the league not doing the job they should have done to crysaitl. Rules are there to be enforced not to change when it benefits a team down 2-0. Pay no attention to @JCC51300 they are just miserable and cannot fathom liking a team outside your area. Go Panthers, Go Sergei "The Machine" Bobrovsky and better luck next time by my count should be in about 20 years. Look on the bright side Oilers fans, you have won the cup multiple times and my Home State team has not yet so consider yourselves fortunate.

Yeah, its over. The NHL backed up Edmonton so much that when it came to it, anti-climatic. Good news for Florida but, seeing as how the NHL made such a fuss of it and delayed the start of the series to step on the toes of the NBA that look at what we got. Dallas vs Florida wouldve been a much more interesting series as would have been New York vs Dallas but, thr NHL wanted to make sure McDavid got there and once the Panthers learned from Dallas' experience to disable McDavid, oh yeah, how many goals did McDavid get this series? Zero? Yeah. When one man is all you got and everyones been coddling you being thr yea parent that cant tell your kid NO, this is what you get, prophecy fulfilled

Barkov deserves Conn Smythe. That's no slight on Bob, but Barkov does not get enough credit. He is just as much of a brick wall as Bob, and he has created so many high grade soring chances all playoffs. He's a guy you build a whole hockey team around.

True. Even NBA is not that popular. That being said, I live near Miami and never seen that many people with Panthers caps, shirts and flags. At work even the Cubans are talking about the Panthers. North of Miami is mostly populated by Americans and they love it!
