My go to: Delicious and cheap made with only pantry staples. Cook up 1 can drained, rinsed garbanzo beans in a skillet w some oil. Then add in 1 steam in a bag peas and carrots, one can cream of chicken/mushroom soup. Add in some cooked white rice. Stir it up. Top w fresh cracked black pepper and some shredded parm if you’re feeling fancy or have room on the budget. This meal is like 4$ total and I get 4-5 large servings. It’s my hubby’s fave.

@@allthingsmandy it’s really good! The amount of rice I add depends on how far I need it to stretch. Add more rice if I’m using it as a side dish but less if I’m using it as a whole meal and want it to feel more hearty. The garbanzos have protein, rice has your carbs, get some veggies and the flavor and fat from the can of cream soup.

Looked delicious!! I did something similar with some leftover spaghetti meat sauce & turned it into a soup using my instant pot. I added garbanzo beans. I did a kinda pathetic video of it... I'm not at my home but taking care of my 81 yo Mom...so I did the best i could at the time 😊

Soups are the ultimate dishes for use-it-up recipes. I love your gnocchi soup idea. My last soup cleaned out my veggies in the crisper drawer. I had carrots, broccoli, onions, and cauliflower that needed to be used along with some open bags of shredded cheese and 1/2 of a container of heavy whipping cream. I made a cheesy vegetable chowder with vegetable bouillon, herbs, nutritional yeast, and my Kinder's Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning 😋🥣 Thanks for your SOUPER inspiration!

Great job, Mandy! I'm actually doing this also, as we speak! There's a beef vegetable soup happening and maybe a vegetable stir fry later. Unsure of what I may find and how much of it, I'll probably have some leftover, leftovers! Small portion freezer containers are ready and waiting. You have more interesting leftovers than I do. Great video! 💕💕💕

Looks good! I made something very similar but with ground pork and gnocchi. I also threw in some kale that I needed to use up. It’s been raining buckets here in Alabama too. My go-to clean out meal is a rice bowl of some kind. Last night was southwest chicken with black beans and roasted corn.

I love a kitchen clean out, been doing it for a year now for my freezers & pantry. Thanks for all your ideas that you’ve gave me on your channel. Bless you. My favorite is doing a soup as well, there’s just so much you can add or subtract with them.

Perfect for a rainy day! Love soup! So many combinations in your pantry of items to use, I start with pasta and add broth with veggies whatever frozen ones I have and add some chicken or beef, very hearty. Even vegtable soup with whatever frozen veggies you have, add noodles as well or beans. I always have frozen rolls or biscuts I can make from scratch you don't need many ingredients so I make sure i always have flour bisquick or dough on hand in the freezer. Mini pizza's are fun and you can get creative with english muffins or even bread. Your soup looked so good!

My favorite meal on rainy days is tomato soup and grilled ham and cheese. My favorite use it up "recipe" is to take all the leftovers in the refrigerator add some things from the panty. Throw it all in a pot for a stew or soup, or casserole dish and enjoy.

Did a pantry meal 2 nights ago. Had a few slices of ham, half a head of cabbage, an onion and a couple of carrots. Had some noodles in the cabinet and a pk of instant mashed potatoes. Diced up ham, onion and carrots sautéed in some bacon grease for several minutes till carrots start to get tender. Added shredded cabbage and continued to sauté. Boiled up noodles in some chicken broth till al dente. Added noodles and a small amount of broth to cabbage mix and cooked till noodles, cabbage, and carrots was done. Prepared mashed potatoes per package directions. Turned out really good and filling.

Yum! Yesterday was a use it up day for me. I made a cheesy chicken broccoli rice casserole. I had a bear creek cheesy broccoli soup mix, added 2 cups of rice, a can of chicken, and a bag of frozen broccoli. I used generic Ritz crackers on top and omg so good! My dad dropped my kids back off to me (they stayed the night at my parents house, but 1 wasn't ready to come back lol) and he tried it and was like oh that's so good. So I gave them a Tupperware container of it. When he brought back my daughter I gave him some more lol It was so good ! I even made a cherry pie filling, cake mix on top with the butter. Yum! And then my son and his girlfriend and kids wanted some brownies. I didn't have any box mix on hand. So I was like well let me see how to make them.. I watched a video & made Homemade Brownies. All the kids loved them more than the box mix! I was like wow what a Homemade food/ use it up kind of day! 💝

I meant to do some use it up but then the store had a good deal on chicken AND a fuel point coupon I thought was a good deal, but I had to spend $125. (my mistake, I can't combine 2 special fuel point coupons together, BOO. Tho I did get a unch of fuel points on the one coupon so it's okay. ) Good job on the soup. Did you feed it to your kids? did they like it too?

Hahaha, so when I started watching your videos made me realize I forgot to pick up a wedge of parmesan cheese at Aldi because it was reduced this week. I’m pleased with myself. Though I did buy a chunk steak the other day, i used with one of those teriyaki kit bags. I asked one of my coworkers what seasoning to use on the meat. It was okay for me, however, what I didn’t like was the texture of the flour. I don’t have AP flour because I’m noticing that I’m getting gluten sensitivity. I used coconut flour. I’ll sharing at lunch that I didn’t like the texture of the flour. A coworker suggested that I ground it. She mentioned a coffee grinder would work but I would actually prefer/like to get a mill grinder. I’d just rather save up rather than buying two products.

That looked really good. The only thing I might have done different, if I was feeling energetic( I said "IF" lol) is make meatballs out of the chicken using all the same ingredients and adding some stale bread. I feel like I always have heels of bread laying around to make bread crumbs. The nice thing about cooking for ourselves is we can do what we want and nobody is gonna complain! It looked delic!

If I found what you have I’d probably make a chili 😊. I always have canned chili beans, green chilies and lots of spices on hand so up that would make a dandy Chili ….yummm… made a Ham & Split Pea soup today…warm in the tummy 😊 And lots for leftovers…. But I’d be kinda cheating as I have a pantry full…I joke with my son that I could probably live a year without going to the grocery store. But back to the point I do need to rotate things and use the older things up. That’s my challenge.
