Do like I do, sniff test. I honestly don't know the names of a lot of seasoning and spices so I sniff and what smells like it would be delicious on the meal I use

A couple of months ago I took a couple of days off work and totally organized my cupboards and drawers. I have huge kitchen drawers, so I bought a pile of jelly jars and put all my spices in them and labeled the lids for easy access. Another drawer for rice and beans, etc. Don’t you get a massive rush when you look at the beauty of organization? I do. ☮️

This looks amazing! I think if you tried to match the shelving with your floors the whole place would look too solid and heavy and boring. The silver lids on the containers tie in the gray floors and the rooms together look so fresh and clean and simple. It’s really stunning.

Love this! I turned a small bedroom in my house into a pantry with three industrial shelving units. Two for food and one for kitchen appliances. It's like walking into my own little grocery store. Love love love ❤️

Great job!!! I love organization, and don't feel bad about the cost to stock your pantry, you will save so much eating your healthy food from there instead of running out all the time to grab what you need. I'm a big believer in my time is as important as our food. You will be less stressed and more calm with that wonderful pantry set up..

Dang girl! You basically did everything I want to do but my apartment is wayyy to small for an extra shelf:( btw, quick tip, you can put command hooks on the inside of your cabinet doors in the kitchen to hang pot lids, etc. GAME CHANGER! I recently got a dyson too and literally have never loved vacuuming so much 😂❤️

Instead of using paper you can just store the codes in the notes of your phone! This is what I do and it works at every store I have been too!

Hi Maddie. I am a 14 years old girl, and right now, I am sick, and I've been sick for over a week. I haven't worked out regularly in almost three weeks now, but I'm trying to get back on track again. Loved this! My OCD self is very satisfied lol 🙌🏽 For the spices, I would suggest putting the labels on the lids and not on the sides of the jars. It will keep the “Fluidity” going of all the glass jars! 👌🏽 black labels can pull the eye straight to the spice instead of keeping it flowing:)

It looks wonderful. The problem with it, at least in my climate, is that nuts, nut butters, oils and some spices go ranceed very quickly, particularly when exposed to light and room temp, and more so as I buy in bulk and cannot go through it fast enough. Another issue is not having labels with info like ingredients, expiration date or just a way to tell apart a bunch of different white-ish powders.... Glass markers work when it's just for a name and date, but with about 2/3s of what you have on your shelf, i keep things in the fridge or freezer. It's not as esthetically pleasing, that's for sure, but it seriously prolongs the shelf-life (pun not intended). I prefer to through less... That all being said, if your turnover rate is so fast that you go through most of these within two-three weeks, I guess the glass containers and cloth bags are good enough

🌿Awesome pantry, Maddie! When it comes to the bulk bin numbers to avoid any tags just use your phone. I used notes on my iPhone and works great plus to make it easier I put the bags in order of the notes in the cart🙂 maybe a little ocd but I find it easier esp since I have two young children in tow. 😊

I think this is absolutely gorgeous and so pretty to have in your house. The only thing I would personally do differently is that I would find some sort of labeling system. Like finding stickers and putting it on or writing it on top of the lid.

love it! it looks so good! just make sure the spice jars from Michaels are food grade. The bottoms of them should say, or it may say on the stickers if you still have them on there. I almost got some from Michaels once but the labels said not food safe, so they were only really good for crafty things and non-food items

You should get some of those chalk board stickers you could add to jars or bags. That way you can label them if you want, but also you can write the code from the bulk store in those too :)
