the reason why girls don’t wear pantyhose is because they are so hard to put on, and wear during the day, most likely lazy to wear. not to mention long nails or poky wedding rings. those who wear daily enjoy their legs and dress attire.

This, from Google: "In the USA if you say stockings, it is commonly understood as thigh-high hosiery, whereas pantyhose are sheer waist-high hosiery, and tights are opaque waist-high hosiery, BUT if a foreigner called pantyhose stockings, we would still understand and figure you were using the word loosely." I don't think the clip was from the U.S. I would add that what Brits call tights usually means pantyhose in the U.S.

@@dangeroreilly2028 Thank you for the info, it’s just frustrating when you hear the word Stockings (which go with Suspenders, U.S. Garter Belt) but you see Tights/Pantyhose!

@@lfc6663 I get it. I think of tights as the thick heavy hosiery a woman might wear in the winter. But even here in the U.S. I hear that wording used more often to just mean pantyhose. The prediction that they're coming more into fashion, made 2 years ago, doesn't seem to be true in the U.S.

@@lfc6663 Just another note, the Baseball team Cincinnati Reds were originally called the Cincinnati Red Stockings. That's clearly a very old fashioned definition.
