Fantastic video! This sold me a copy - game looks incredible, and is definitely a throwback to a ton of my favorites from when I was a kid. Downloading now!

@@reagandow850 Totally agree with you on digital games! Never bought one, never will. But rest assured! Of course they will be a physical release! Look at how great the game is ;)

It warms my heart the artwork I was able to help craft for Tribute evoked the same retro nostalgia that inspired me as a kid playing these throwback games of our past. It’s incredibly validating so thank you for your kind words! Huge fan of your channel!0

I have played the first few levels and I have to say it is awesome! The music, graphics and gameplay is a 10 out of 10 for me. I love them 80s cutscenes. This is a game I hope will get some DLC and a sequel.

Just picked it up thanks John!

Fun Fact: If you buy the Switch version, you can only have ownership of the game (digital) as long as Nintendo supports the Switch's online service. Remember Wii, anyone. But if you buy it on PC, you can keep it forever and not worry about the hardware despite Steam's denial of giving us full ownership of the games we purchase. Another fun fact is that if you come across the game on GOG, you would have complete digital ownership with no strings attached. Well, it will be tough being a console gamer in the next console generation.

Looks really nice the cutscenes and stuff and at the same time it captures the 80s style

I bought this game Day1 based on the trailers. Managing your weapons is kind of fiddly once you get enough to start dumping into your inventory but otherwise it's pretty cool so far. I'll probably double dip once a physical copy comes out just to support the developer.

This game should be made on a NES cartridge and should make its way to the evercade much like xenocrisis.

Unimportant point but this is above what a NES could do, right ? It's more SNES ?
@johnhancockretro4 жыл бұрын
Probably closer to what a TG-16 could do, but definitely looks more NES in graphic style.

Yup, it reminds me of Hardcore Mecha but with more platforming so I'm down for it until Hardcore Mecha comes to Switch.

Part of me dislikes these retro throwback games solely based on the fact that they are SOOO easy to make these days compared to the time period they are trying to emulate...but a good game is a good game, and I guess I should stop ignoring these style games based on that fact alone.
@Zhinoi4 жыл бұрын
I think it's a tribute to the long-lasting playerbase of 64- bit game fans. But, if you aren't a fan of it look-wise you couls wait for Hardcore Mecha to come out. So I'll play Panzer Paladin until that comes out in a few months from now.
