READ THE DESCRIPTION BOX. The last thing I want is for more useless fights to start in the comments. Since Zhenya & Alina will be together at the Ice Age gala and the Tutberidze show I just thought it is better we have this discussion now. The media and RusFed wants us to hate each other so let's not give it to them. The fact that the girls aren't besties doesn't mean we have to fight strangers on the internet about who's better. Let's just all be respectful and enjoy our faves. Hope you guys enojy! P.S. Still haven't gotten a single IRL friend to care about FS

I thought this vid comprehensively explains it. I think earlier vids of their growing up together prior to the Olympics, better reflects their true relationship in their hearts. Hell, I even saw an excerp in one vid of them making out under water, much to the chagrin of Zhenya's real mom, not Eteri, wth raised eye brows...lmao...kids..I like to think of them getting together, on the sly , now & again ,over vodka shots laughing and giggling over all the "manufactured drama" for the masses that keeps them in the spotlight while the tiny 3 a's or b's whatever,...lol...compete to see how many times or time & a halfs (axle) they can rotate before they become women. Alina & Zhenya will be fine. Though forever linked, they are both gorgeous, gifted young women in their own right...however...This is what sells newspapers, as they used to say. Thanks! Loved the vid. Loved the passion in your voice over. Please keep up the Great work. Coach Hoot

I actually don't think so. Evgenia was randomly tested multiple times because of her dominance in 2016/2017, (which is different from the scheduled testing Kami & co failed because that was scheduled in a way that Eteri was able to get the drugs out of their system). Evgenia personally became the face of the Russian appeal for the country to be represented at the Olympics. A lot of people suspect Alina (because she backloaded her programs) but Alina had that power before she joined Eteri. There are actually speculations that Eteri put Zagitova on drugs after her disastrous worlds 2018 performance, and thats why Zagi was training a quad before she retired. This is something the 13 year old Ukrainian skater revealed. But not during the Olympics. Zhenya went to Orser, and was reportedly sent packages of pills from Russia (for her injury) but didn't take them. But their dominance was probably quite organic.(because they didn't do quads, the drugs probably starting coming more into play with 3A, quads) Also Zhenya and Alina didn't have any injuries that would sound like drug abuse, ie Alena being rumored to have her kidneys fail, Sasha/Anna's repeated crazy injuries + Anna's performance at Russian Nationals and miraculous comeback...etc. Zhenya's chronic back issues and injury perfectly made sense with her weaker incorrect technique and mirrored other skaters from other federations with weaker technique.

@@Sasha-pf9os She was sent vitamins ? when she was with Brian Orser and stopped taking them. Her career went down hill didn't it.
@Sasha-pf9os
@Sasha-pf9os 2 жыл бұрын
@@garyschnake3125 Nope actually, her fused back actually happened right after the Olympics. The reason why Evgenia LEFT Eteri was because she knew she would have to be on some sort of drug to retain her level. (If she was on one already she'd have to be on more) Evgenia didn't have any of the suspicious breaking any of the Eteri girls did later on (+ in her time) and her back is easily explained with how bad her technique was, plenty of figure skaters have that injury. She actually skated her best with Orser technique wise, her 3S/2A >>>. Her consistency was destroyed because of the fact she relearnt all her technique from scratch (even her edges were so bad before) and the fact that her back was bad when she primarily used it to muscle jumps. Therefore she wasn't as secure. Thats why Elizabet Tursynbaeva went to Eteri, she didn't want to deal with the actual uncertainty that comes with proper technique but wanted a higher level of competition, and she also had the heart medication. Same reason why Evgenia was dominating 2015-2016. Wagner/Tennell/Miyahara had better content for one but all 3 were inconsistent because they were jumping more properly (although they had their weaknesses). That's also why Liza (Tutkymsheva) ended up fading after her great junior career for a bit. In actual technique, her jumping was impeeded by consistency, she was incredibly inconsistent (she didn't make it to the Olympics in 2014 for a reason) but over time she improved and is still competing. Properly jumping leads to a level of inconsistency if you're not used to it. But Evgenia ended being top level w Eteri at 19, and even until 20. All the other girls wiped out at 16/17 except maybe Sasha?

As a Zhenya fan it makes me really sad to see how Alina was treated by Eteri at the Olympics, and as soon as she started to grow it was clear that Eteri's focus was on the 3A girls and not Alina. I think Alina has shown Eteri way more devotion than Eteri has shown her, and I wish that Alina could have moved to a better coach where she'd find more respect. But then when i tried to watch events with commentary, and after the algorithm saw i liked Evgenia, Alina started popping up everywhere and i thought they were family or something, like cousins(? After deciding i was going to search them in the fandom (bc i watched by myself, never followed anyone on any social media nor took part on the groups or whatever in the fandom) i realized why the algorithm went that way. Still to this day i am able to think of them as separate -bc i actually didnt pay attention to Alina, im sorry, dont at me- but after that team event everyone went nutz and now i get why they appear togheter in those headlines or in the fandom. Now my focus is on the triple A Eteri girls, and there i can say i cant separate them (Sasha, Aliona, Anna), bc i think of one and i think of all three, gadly is not a negative thought, its just like oh waw they have this and that in common (being honest, Anna is the idel one, but my heart always roots for Aliona, Sasha on the other hand stresses me with all the crazy jumps but little care for other elements, she is indeed impressive but nope nope).
