The Papa Louie franchise is one of, if not the largest and most successful flash game franchises out there. While the "Papa's Gameria" restaurant management games are the most popular, the series originally began 13 years ago as a 2D platformer. Today, we're taking a look back at Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack and its history, and as always, how it holds up today. (spoiler alert: it's good).

as a Papa Louie fan myself, i take it as my job to say you forgot to say these locations from portals are entire Dimension... from what i get from reading these flipdeck... called Munchmore.

Having gotten on a Papa's kick this year, and never having known about this title in my youth, pretty interesting how deep this franchise goes. Tho one thing that gets to me on this game is how everyone rescued on Level 4 is a repeat of ones from 1 and 2.

Fun fact: The Red Papa Coins were useful for a 30 point achievement on Kongregate! (Yknow, whenever Kongregate was focused on games) Also, it would be cool for you to check the rest of the Flipline Games, mainly the difference from Pizzeria to Mocharia!

I love the 2nd and 3rd ones. The first one is alright, but like cactus mccoy its controls are weird and you can only play as papa louie. I don't know if this Quinns Q&A was deleted or lost in time, but I remember one that mentioned how they *could* try to release an attack game on steam, with more levels because of less limitations.

@@therealretronaut I do want to say that you can change the controls in Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! and the Cactus McCoy Duology. So you could try changing their controls to be like the Papa Louie Sequels.

Also with the papa Louie cooking games, a fairly popular KZbinr makes videos on them fairly often, mostly putting ridiculous amounts of food on stuff.

Speaking of Flipline Studios you should talk about Remnants of Skystone, it's also made by them and it's pretty obscure

7:25 Lol i actually had that happening to me as well. Oh Papa Louie. I did play this game back in the day. I don't know if i actually beat it though, but i do remember that i did get to fight the last boss.

Actually Restaurant games have some lore too. Mainly Cluckeria (BTW that Warp Key at the end... PL4 CONFIRMED?! I hope so cuz i LOVE platformers from PL series. but I like every single so...)

You just spoiled Cluckeria's ending for me lol... not that I was going to finish it anyway, but wow, if that is actually hinting at a new platformer, that would be awesome! I just hope it's NOT on mobile lol, the controls would be pretty rough.

@@seanyproductions Platformers since PL2 are mailny "move, Jump, Attack, use skill" and using skill are Either "just touch (something) and (skill) will happen", "double Press this button" or "easy Combination of two buttons"... but yes, Platformers on Mobile isn't BEST idea. maybe Before PL4 we would have "(when) First Trilogy Remake (Attacks!)". i would like this to happen.

Actually for me, the only cooking game I first saw was in 6th grade, Papa's Scooperia. Then a friend of mine told me about him playing platformer versions of those games, so that was when I decided to play Papa Louie 2 and 3. So I didn't know Papa Louie When Pizzas Attack existed until I randomly came across a playthrough of it. So yeah.
