Paper and Pulp industry TNPL Plantations

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited persevere to help the farmers, the environment and society as a whole, an effort that has been authenticated by the Government of Tamil Nadu when it pronounced the paper mill one among the most environmentally compliant paper mills in the world. It started production in 1984 with a capacity of 90,000 metric tonnes utilizing bagasse as primary raw material thereby turning waste into wealth. It uses approximately one million tonnes of bagasse every year which in turn prevents the felling of trees over a mammoth 40,000 acres of land making it the largest bagasse based paper mill in the world.
