I love the way those beads turned out. I like the way they sound, lol. They must be very hard. I will have to try that and see what I can do. Thanks for sharing this tip

I have discovered something about my technique, it works better if you don't put any of the tissue paper on the base paper and let the drips land right on the base paper and spread it around to cover all of the paper. Then lay the pieces of the tissue paper on top of the glaze. I have been finding I can make one dripped bead sheet per coat of glaze I add to my beads so by the time I am done glazing my beads, I have 6 new collage bead sheets!

Where did you get your bead dryer stand? Or did you make it?
@JustPlainFun Жыл бұрын
I actually made it. I have some tutorials on how to make a few different styles on my web site with links that go to the videos here at KZbin. www.jpfun.com/paper-beads/drying-racks/index.shtml

How did you make the drying rack?

I made it similar to this one I also made earlier. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKjRf3mpjtR7Y6M Instead of poking the scewers through to the center of the skewer, I just poked it through just enough to stick out the back side about an 1/8" of an inch. Also instead of making the back side support as long as it shows, I just added a small enough piece to the back side of the T fittings to add elbows, then added the back support. I then added just end caps to the front supports on the bottom instead of elbows and the cross piece. I also cut my upright pieces to 18" tall. If you feel I need to make another video with my new design, let me know.

Love your technique and if you use paper napkins you can recycle the backs instead of throwing them away. Goofy is fun and makes it you!

So do you cut, roll, and glue the glazed paper like you do your regular beads. Only go right to vibrance dipping?
@JustPlainFun7 жыл бұрын
Ja Bl that's correct

Does the glazed paper make it harder to roll your beads?
@JustPlainFun7 жыл бұрын
Jamie Rivers not at all

@@JustPlainFun, I was wondering what kind of glue would be needed to make them stick together well. I would think the stiffness as well as being coated so well would make it hard to keep them glued together!
@JustPlainFun5 жыл бұрын
@@loraleewellington9064 I am not sure what you mean by stick together well. Do you want the beads to stick to each other or are you concerned about the end sticking down on the bead well?
@loraleewellington90645 жыл бұрын
Thanks for requesting clarification. I meant the end staying stuck well...
@JustPlainFun5 жыл бұрын
@@loraleewellington9064 they stick very well as if there was no glaze on them to begin with.
