Ahhhh... 1971 when computers servers took up a whole building! Those were the days! (I was born well before) Thanks for making me feel old and for a great share. Loved this film. Now, I have to FAX my friend a mimeograph of my pager number so they can type me a letter on their telegraph machine... Message sent "Eli Whitney created a break-through invention". LOL Love this channel!

I remember writing programs on punch cards that took so many cards they were 2-3 feet thick. I’d turn them into the University of Houston computer processing center and wait a day of two to see if my program worked. Now it takes just a few minutes to write software. Someone else in the comment section said they got electric and phone bills on punch cards. Anyone else remember them. Great movie highlighting computers. Dean Stockwell is a great actor. He has played a lot of eccentric characters. I loved him on Quantum Leap too. James Olsen, who played the bad guy in this movie, was in the Andromeda Strain movie the next year in 1972. That was a great movie.

Com Dean Stockwell que foi , na minha opinião, o melhor actor/criança de sempre. 😊 Aos sete anos, Dean fez a sua estreia nos palcos numa produção teatral. A peça durou nove meses. Dean acabou sendo descoberto por um caçador de talentos e, com base no seu desempenho, foi contratado pela MGM em 1945. A partir daí, com 9 anos, nunca mais parou. Sobre o filme , só imagino o que nos poderá acontecer com a vinda da INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL 😢

Acho que esse filme pode ser chamado de Ficção científica, mas tem mistério também. Eu assisti ele usando legendas automáticas em português. Acho que você o digitalizou a partir da fita em VHS, a gente vê pelos pequenos problemas na execução, como em 29:08 minutos. Um grande abraço, obrigado por postar.
