His name in all versions is Rumpel or a variation; the original Japanese name is "Ranperu", the Dutch name is "Repel" (as the fairy tale is called "Repelsteeltje" there), etc. The English version is the only one that completely changed the name. I guess the translators thought English players wouldn't know about "Rumpelstiltskin"?

You’d think the game would actually keep going after the dialogue with the “No messages.[English]” error being shown again since Vivian doesn’t actually do any unique animations and she’d just randomly show up in battle because reasons but I guess not (it’s probably hard coded to provide a Vivian-only response after the options vs the error text used for goombella before it which isn’t hard code - and since Vivian isn’t there, it crashes). What if you obtain the lowercase P after you’re progressed through Chapter 4 normally after Doopliss 1 but before you meet Vivian (the first time you encounter doopliss as fake Mario) and guess it correctly? I’d figure either the game immediately crashes after doopliss freaks out because Vivian is supposed to say something afterward and instead of there being a “illegal” partner there to bypass this with the No message error it just soft locks/crashes on Mario standing there since no one is with him. Or it proceeds normally until you meet him at the top where it then crashes because of the same reasons above but softlocks because no one is there to provide a response to him.
