This is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
The game everyone loves and loves to tell you about how much they love it. If you've been here for a while you might have noticed we like it quite a bit too. Though usually our playthroughs are some kind of challenge run where we skip all text to get to the gameplay. BUT NOT THIS TIME!
This playthrough is part of our out of order conquest to casually relive all Paper Mario games, together with my co-comm Lenny! Just in time for the remake to get a good feel of what's changed from a more casual perspective!
Like usual; if there's any cool secrets, obscure or funny dialogue and details you know about, be sure to tell us in the comments or on Discord. I know a lot about this game, but I don't know literally everything! Also I might just forget certain things.

Some fun fact about Rawk Hawk intro dialogue: in Spanish he actually says the weaklings to stay at home and Play Smash Melee instead which is so funny to think about

Glitzville. No matter how often I see this place I LOVE it there. In the german version it's called "Falkenheim" so something like Hawk's home. I think it's supposed to be a nod to Rawk Hawk even though his name is COMPLETELY different here. Marios german in-ring name is "Bomba Luigi" which is completely different to all the other versions and I love that name. It's funny because Yoshi always calls you Bomba.

You should talk to the people from the crowd at both entrances, I believe after every time you get up in the ranks? Or maybe every few fights, I believe there's this whole storyline about two competing things, I remember they were newsources, maybe newspapers? I saw a video about it and it was pretty funny, so definitely check it out if you get the chance!
