This is a childhood game of mine, I remember getting stuck on the last boss, then losing the game and all my save data only for the game to go way up in price, then many years later, I bought it back and played through the entire game again only to finally beat the last boss. I experienced some similar things to you guys. My favorite parts were glitzville and twilight town, I thought I was gonna be smart and find his name immediately from my memory but then I realized that the game was smart enough to remove a letter from the name entry. Also the character that bypasses defence is Ms Mowz, one of the biggest reasons to use her is that her slaps bypass defense. Based on that badge setup, I can already tell that Zoltan is a G Seed & Dragon Rib & Wrath Of Forcefulness user. My favorite song in the game was the Xnaut Fortress, it was catchy as hell.

Speaking of music, did you sit on the main menu long enough to hear the DROP? Looking forward to xenogears, I tried to emulate it but the emulator couldn't handle it :(
