So far... yes. So far. But seriously, I'm glad people are giving this game a try. I have a friend who grew up playing Sticker Star (and the newer Paper Mario games in general) and he fell in love with the TTYD Remake right away. I hope this game sells like pancakes so Nintendo sees that we do want good Paper Mario games back.

@@Crafty_boy70 i prefer old paper mario formula, but that doesn’t mean there is no charm in newer series. Its just ttyd has more varied races, settings, and more satisfying leveling system. I like origami king’s ring battle system, it feels like im playing some kind of board game. That is neat. However, since it lacks leveling element compare to old series, i just starting to avoid field fight and that is not good sign for rpg game.

Definitely one of my fav GameCube games back then it was TTYD , LOTR ROTK was a banger- Resident Evil 4 and even OG Prince of Persia’s. Oh and Viewtiful Joe 💯

I’m so glad I bought paper Mario the thousand year door worth every single coin 🏆🏆🏆🍄♥️♥️♥️ I’m looking forward to seeing hopefully they port Metroid 2 and 3 and the wind walker and twilight princess and also BIG hope would be port of Mario galaxy 2 HD ♥️♥️🌟🌟🌟 I’m really looking forward to switch 2 and Luigi’s mansion 2 HD

I'm not really into Mario games but there's one I'd actually love to play on switch : Mario Galaxy 2 it is. Zelda games are more to my taste. I really hope we will get these ports very soon. Only these two games could make me want to play on the console again...(especially Twilight Princess) Also I totally agree with you about endless ocean. This game is so deceiving...

So with the additional boss fights included in TTYD, I think that is barely enough to make it an actual remake rather than a remaster. Albeit it's an extremely faithful remake.

It's a classic... we've been saying it for years. It has that Nintendo full package feel like your Metroid, 3d Mario and Zelda. Characters, story/atmosphere, combat, puzzles and exploration. It was just a victim of the GameCube. Prime 4 will be a bigger deal for new games and Metroid's standing. TTYD is more significant for righting the wrongs of the last 20 years of this series. Both very important games. Both can make these franchises more regular occurrences. Zelda while huge is more established than the 2 above so it is less significant. We expect these games.

My local retro store had the GameCube Paper Mario Thousand Year door CIB for 58.00. I almost got it too lol. I think I’ll just get the switch version even though I would like to add the GameCube version to my collection

It absolutely is. The game has charm, color, creativity, polish... improved lighting... it really pops... meanwhile i look at a game like Hellblade 2 that is supposedly blowing people away with it's graphics and I'm not slightly impressed as to me it looks dark and dreary...

It is good, you just run it in an emulator and mod it to 60fps and voila, a decent game. Too bad we can't play it on the Switch at 60fps. I've been playing games at 60fps for 25 years and it is about time Nintendo stopped moving backwards. First I was so excited when it was announced, then I was truly disappointed.

Yes don’t blame you. Would be nice if this is one of many games that gets updated to 60 fps on next console. If Nintendo cares about the fans, they will do it.

@@Ray-dl5mp yeah i've bought two switches and 20 games, probably $2000 in total, but I was done 3 years ago and tired of 30fps gaming, hoping my next Switch won't have these issues, or when Nintendo starts to go 30fps again I'll stop buying again (really disappointed with Zelda this gen)
