You might be making the "knot" too tight, you have to leave it a bit loose so you can puff it

My grandma used to make these and inside them was my uncle’s favorite quotes before he passed away by drowning in a river. I was looking through my moms phone and a text my uncle sent her was him saying for my mom to be safe and take care of herself. When my mom asked why he said there was no reason and he was just trying to look out for his family. I still have stars of his favorite quotes in a little jar so that I could keep them forever.

Tip: Instead of cuttting some of the short bit and then getting the long bit to wrap around, u can actually cut abit of the short bit and tuck the short bit in the knot. Hope it helps!

Tip: when you cut the line you can use the lines already on that paper so that you can only see the yellow star and not the lines ! Hope this helps ❤️

You might as well just buy star paper, its cut perfectly and makes it easier, plus sometimes you can buy a star maker that puffs up the stars for you, you do not have to but it is highly recommended.

Theres a more easy way to make a lucky star (yes they're called that) Just search of a video since some will be less confusing while others will be pretty difficult to puff up the star since first tries will only have one half puffed while the back is going towards the puffed side (i mostly call those stars first stars or flat stars) Xb

here’s a tip: next time instead of cutting it off, you can rip it with your fingers! just make sure you don’t rip off more than you need to. the reason why i said this is because it takes less time, and less materials! hope this helps❤
