Ok, I will tell you the big secret: Daren had a crush on Cole in the high school as he has a weakness on far eastern types. Because he is not out to himself he had to find an far eastern originated girl to substitute Cole. However, he never forgat Cole. When his platonic love visited him finally he had the balls to confront with himself. In the next episodes Daren will declare his love to Cole who has in turn been waiting this secretly for years. Pity for the girlfriend. By the way I love you Daren:)
