Origami Envelope Box Tutorial - DIY - Paper Kawaii

Learn how to make a nifty origami envelope or pouch that opens out to be a box, this easy origami only takes a few minutes!

This traditional origami box is more like a pouch or envelope to me, it would look great with a ribbon wrapped around it. Would make a great party invitation, with a square piece of paper on the inside.
This is another masu box variation I believe.

in your blog you said "You can calculate what size your paper needs to be for a specific size, take the size you want and times it by 2.856." you said you ended up with 5.35 x 5.25, but here you said you ended up with 7x7. which one is it? what size paper do I need to end up with a 6.5in x 6.5in box?

The measurement of the paper in this video is 15 x 15 cm but you can use any size square depending on how large you want to make the box.
