Thanks for being so honest. A lot of hauliers are very secretive and wouldn’t want to be so open to what goes. Really enjoy your videos.

Very interesting Becky, do a lot of farmers sell direct to the abattoir? If the farmers didn't sell to the abattoir, would they just have to sell them at a mart ? But would that be at a lower price than to an abattoir? Thank you.

Now that I have retired from the farming business, I have to say that I certainly don't miss all the paperwork, passports, rules , regulations, and record keeping, which goes along with everything we did. Life was simpler many years ago, before bureaucracy, rules, regulations, and red tape started strangling the whole sector and made it more difficult to make a living. Speaking to farmers who are still in the business, they say I made the right decision to quit farming when I did, and a few say that they wish that they could get off the treadmill retire and get out of the business now as they don't see a bright future ahead for them as the up and coming next generation have good off farm jobs with good pay, holidays and prospects for the future. That's better than killing yourself working 24/7 for less than minimum wage as a farmer.

Hello. Please. When is an animal passport issued or asked for and where from. Your driving welfare licences , do you have to do an update as and when required (. I know that you have a drivers hgv update which i seem to remember was every 5 years ). 3. What are the rules on carriage of animals , as you have said previously that animals can only travel or be on truck for a certain amount of time. Thank you. Wish You Well
