Our 4th day in Cyprus .Renting a car .Stopped off at Coral bay for a meal , Explore the coast and ending the day with a meal in Tea For Two restaurant

Ah Coral Bay - lovely resort. I’ve actually stayed at Coral Bay Beach resort which has its own beach. Well worth visiting the area. The stretch of beach between Paphos and Coral Bay is beautiful isn’t it….blue seas very Caribbean like. The Wendy house thing is indeed an oven. Tends to be used for cooking meats.

Theres another part of Coral Bay that is a strip full of bars, restaurants and shops which is well worth a visit. Its currently being revamped but is set to be finished by the end of April, the first week of May. We usually hire a villa near the strip at the end of September start of October and the weather is just perfect. I've also been at the end of April and it's lovely then too. There's a lovely vibe in Coral Bay and we can't get enough of it lol (been 5 times)

If you want a nice chippy go to t js it's owned by English people and it's near the harbour once you go you won't go no where else if you are in paphos again please try it

I go to Cyprus every year to see family. If you go up to polemi there is a lovely wee restaurant called the olive tree absolutely delicious meals xxx

Really enjoyed this video, thanks. The traditional ovens were used for bread (and still are in some villages and at Easter for flaounes which are traditional in every Cypriot household). More often the restaurants cook Kleftiko in them which is very slow cooked lamb. They often leave the meat cooking overnight to be served the next day. I'm not a lamb lover but it is very delicious. I live just outside Larnaca but it was nice to see Paphos with you. I'm now going to watch days 1, 2 & 3. There is a KZbin channel called CYPRUS INSIGHT which I recommend to you to get to know Cyprus really well. x

What a great day and so nice to hire a car to get around we love that as we’re not fans of group tours infact I’d rather run in front of a bus than do a group tour lol the food has really stood out on this trip and the service wonderful. No! I have been here 30 years in all that time the hottest day was 46.2 in early September 2020! But more usual in July and August is around 36-39c

@@steveandcarole your outing reminded me of a place I went too in Greece, must be 38 years ago. Out walking one day my friend & l asked an elderly lady who was sat outside a lovely old building near the sea if she was serving lunch, albeit in sign language not knowing greek, she didn't bring out a menu but proceeded to bring out the most delicious pork chops, greek salad, some lovely great big chips that I've never tasted anything like that ever since, and some small plates of various greek food. When we finished & asked for the bill she kept saying no, we thought she didn't understand so we left a good amount of money & a tip, the next day we found out that the taverna we had a great meal at was actually the elderly lady's home. 🤭 We did go back to apologise with someone who spoke greek and that lady made our lunch everyday untill we left. Your trip just reminded me of how accommodating people are, especially when you mentioned they had to turn the fryers on, most places would have said not open these days. 😊

Tea for Two is my go to place when I go on holiday, I’ve been going in there since 1995 and stay just round the corner at Damon Apartments. Always all inclusive, but love to support the local restaurants and businesses

Loved the video, You have to go back to Coral Bay when the strip is opened again, so many lovely restaurants and bars. Good seeing that chip shop and Legends again. We tend to book a villa just up the road from there so its all in walking distance.

Just to say public transport is brilliant in Paphos. Bus to Limosol is about €8 return ticket. It would of dropped you right at the old Port. Seems you both dont mind walking. Also lots of free maps of area in hotels gives you an idea which way to walk.

Steve and Carol great video,if you are going back try the Ayia napa and Protaras area on the east coast,over 60% of all tourist arrivals to Cyprus stay in this area,the beaches are amazing and great choice of restaurants

you missed the best beach in coral bay ,just up from the restaurant bar you found on the main road Corallia Beach.Also next to the fish and chip place was The Frog and Toad nice lunches in there ,maybe next time ,like your filming.come back when the Coral Bay strip is finished it will be great

When you was outside Legends bar in coral bay there was a car park 100 meters further on which takes you to corallia beach , it's much better than coral bay beach and all the sunbeds are out
