Celebrating five years of Royal Papworth's new home - ITV Anglia (West) - April 2024

To help mark five years since we welcomed our first patients into the new Royal Papworth Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, we hosted ITV Anglia for a special celebratory programme on Tuesday 30 August.
This included:
• A look ‘behind the scenes’ that included meeting cystic fibrosis patient Mehro, lead cystic fibrosis nurse Sam, chief executive Eilish Midlane, service manager Stuart and head of clinical engineering, Martin
• A visit to our cardiology ward to meet patient Durga, who had arrived just the day before after suffering a heart attack
• A study being led by Royal Papworth looking into new ways of detecting cancer earlier
• Interviews with former chairman Professor John Wallwork and former Covid-19 patient, Chik
• A special thank you from some of our patients
