Marta Traba y la vanguardia no objetual" (For a Theory on Latin American Art: Marta Traba and the Non-Objectual Avant-Garde)
English:
Even if Marta Traba had been reluctant to conceptual art, as shown by her comments in the book "Dos décadas vulnerables en las artes plásticas latinoamericanas, 1950-1970" (1973), where she described this artistic manifestation as a matter of stupidity, snobbery or simple representation of real processes, a few years later, at the beginning of the 1980s, she will reconsider this position in "La vanguardia en América Latina", a chapter in the book "Arte de América Latina: 1900-1980" (1994). This is the topic of the lecture.
