I don't expect secular leaders to be perfect, but I do expect those who are voted into leadership positions to have compassion for ALL the people and not just a select few, and to rule with humane treatment and equal justice for all.

The word of God says that He is against homosexuals.
@4ucarla8854 жыл бұрын
I agree, whether Jimmy Carter or Obama is a Christian or not is for God to determine. However, Obama didn't sign into law the approval of homosexual marriages. Each state is responsible for the laws on that subject. Obama only signed an executive order that would not allow people to "discriminate" against same sex marriages. And the Supreme Court affirmed that the order was constitutional. He extended protections in hiring and employment of civilian federal workforce relating to gender identity and sexual orientation. That is not the same as condoning same-sex marriages. And even if he did condone, do you think because a person has a same-sex orientation (lifestyle) that the person shouldn't be allowed to be employed? Or shouldn't be given the right to make a living?. . . pay bills?. . . contribute to society through employment? What would you suggest? Would you suggest that the person starve, be mistreated, be denied employment? A Christian can disagree with another person's sexual orientation and yet protect that person's right to be treated with human decency, despite one's faith in Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, we currently have a POTUS that claims to be pro-life, but is he really? The hypocrisy is when a child is birth into the world but the child’s “quality” of life is dismissed as unimportant. There are many Christians and non-Christian alike who claim to be pro-life, but they are actually pro-fetus because they don’t care about the loss of life after the child is born into the world-if the child goes hungry, or if the child doesn’t have proper healthcare or welfare, or access to social programs that assist in their care. Those same people will vote against affordable healthcare, welfare, policies that help the poor, the elderly, the impaired, etc. These are usually the same people who don’t care if some children are taken away from their parents and locked-up in cages. The truth is, a person who is truly “pro-life” will care about the deaths of ALL innocent people from the cradle to the grave. And care about the inhumane treatment and murders of adults as well as the unborn, people like Breanna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson, and Ahmaud Arbery, etc. DJT didn’t take seriously the deaths of nearly 215,000 American citizens who died from the corona disease-“It is what it is” -according to his own words. And even down-played the severity of COVID-19 when he knew how deadly this disease was/is to those who have immune deficiencies. Woodward's book "RAGE" exposed that DJT knew the airborne disease could kill just by respiring, but even now continues to hold huge rallies without a thought of the lives that may be exposed--essentially telling people that wearing a mask is foolishness. Yes, the same man who claimed that he could stand on New York’s Fifth Avenue and “shoot somebody and not lose voters.” And he said, “I don’t have the responsibility to understand the pain of Black Americans: No, I don’t feel that at all.” Those where his words about black American citizens. Let’s not mention the U.S. troops in the Afghanistan war that were slaughtered; they had Russian bounties on their heads that Trump ignored: www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53231840 For a person who is supposedly pro-life, DJT certainly doesn’t seem to mind that cells linked to aborted fetuses was used in his COVID-19 treatment: www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-regeneron-fetal-tissue-hypocrisy_n_5f80d8ddc5b6e5c31ffe666e I believe a great MANY presidents will "rue the day" when they made unwise decisions, and even worse for preachers, prophets, teachers and others who wink at habitual liars, who ignore serial adulterers and transgressors of the law, those who endorse immorality, those who are greedy for filthy lucre, those who lust for power, those who promote racism, hatred and privilege, those who are prideful, those that profane the truth, those who condemn the guiltless, those that despise the poor, widows and orphans, those who praise the rich for unjustly accumulating wealth at the expense of the poor, and those that placate and bribe rulers in high places, such as judiciaries and government rulers for an advantage, those who knowingly practice deception, etc.

The problem with society is that the government is taking on what the church is supposed to be doing. Because people don't go to church, and those that do barely tithe, the church has lost its position to care for the poor, disabled and elderly. It was never for the government to have this large of a burden (or power). It is only supposed to focus on military, foreign relations, and some basic federal issues. But states have let many of their powers go to a central government and the church has also been defrauded of their tithes to help the poor. That was the way it was supposed to be but since we don't practice that, our society is left turning to one person to fix all of our issues. We have to get back to church and taking care of each other in our own communities!
@4ucarla8852 жыл бұрын
@@seanc2788 , I used to pay tithes, but I no longer do that. However, I do give offerings, and I occasionally give to those in need through food pantries and monetary donations, etc. I had learned, from various preachers over the years, that tithes are of the OT law given to the Jews. And tithes, in those days, wasn't money, but rather grains, fruits, etc., hence the reason the word "storehouse" was used in the OT. Keep in mind, we are under the NT of Jesus' blood as Gentile believers, so giving offerings are appropriate. However, I don't think God is going to be upset if believers do or do not give tithes.
@seanc27882 жыл бұрын
@@4ucarla885 That's funny to me because I was the opposite. I never used to tithe. I thought it was for Jewish people back in the day, just like you said. But the more I have studied I realize that God actually owns everything and I am just a steward or caretaker of his property. So I make it a point to give 10% of my income to my local church now. Then I think there is Offering, like you said, which is anything above and beyond my base. So every year I pick which charities I want to give to also. I know God has blessed me, and so I just feel natural to give back. I think you are right that God will not be upset at us if we don't give, but we also may not be rewarded in heaven as much. There are also many people who just don't have much to give. But I think there are a ton of rich people out there who could give either tithe and/or offering and it would make a huge difference in this world. IF they did that, maybe we would stop talking about jacking up the taxes in our society which only hurts the people who are not rich.
@4ucarla8852 жыл бұрын
@@seanc2788 , I agree, God owns everything. And as good stewards we should do what Jesus wants us to do. If you feel that you should give tithes and/or offerings, then continue to do so with a glad heart (give cheerfully, because God loves a cheerful giver). I certainly don't condemn those who do pay tithes, or those who do not pay tithes. Each man must be persuaded in his own mind and heart. I know some believers feel as though they will be cursed if they don't pay tithes, and God doesn't want His sons and daughters to feel that way. (Have a blessed day).

I will pray for you. Obama championed the spirit of homosexuality and transgenderism. He also is the cause of the increase in racial division in America. He became wealthy and left democratic, inner city, blacks in poverty. He played us black people. DJT has said some pretty dumb things. But, He did more for religious freedoms and the black community than any other president in modern history. We now know in 2024 that covid was a set up to control, divide the people and control the population. Biden in 2021 did worse in handling covid than Trump. Trump is God's last president fir the US to have some prosperity. God spared his life of an assassination attempt in july 2024 for us Christians. Once Trump's term is over, America will end as the city on a hill.

Truth should be the most important thing in any Christian’s life. You had a very good sermon going until you twisted the truth saying that Jimmy Carter said one thing when he actually said something else. He was only stating his beliefs- which are despicable of course but nevertheless he was stating his beliefs and never did he say Jesus would approve gay marriage as if it were a fact.
