You're not the only one who learned how to battle depression through the souls games! Hearing my own thoughts from you is an incredible feeling. I wish I had words to express how awesome this is. Praise the sun, and may the good blood guide your way.

The souls games are absolutely evocative of "struggle despite the odds", I heard that a major source for inspiration of the summoning system was when the creator's car got stuck during an ice storm. Several strangers stopped their cars to help him, despite not knowing him and no reward. That's what Dark Souls, and life, is all about I think.

Don't wanna write a giant text about my struggles or something...but let me just say I feel your thoughts. I'm in a similar place right now. Thank you for this. I am with you mate. We're gonna make it!

I cried so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I went down this path with Elden Ring. Elden Ring means so much to me and I'm so happy that I put my concerns aside, I had so much respect for the souls games. We keep fighting and don't give up.

Bro the ending woke up everything in a 10 kilometer radius around my house. You cant just whisper for 99% of the video and then have the loudest ensemble at the end without a warning like that. Pretty good video tho

I never get tired of hearing these stories. Souls games got me through my twenties. I played through all three dark souls games, along with sekiro, during my time in grad school during the pandemic. I felt totally hollow but I felt the games were really instructive on how to keep going and pushing past my own depression and anxiety which had gotten totally out of control by that point. When I couldn’t do anything else, I could cut my teeth against these bosses. Sometimes I could even triumph. It made me feel like I wasn’t alone for feeling so bleak all of the time. Thanks for sharing your story because it reminds me how special this community is.

Good stuff my man, souls games really teach us to never give up and continue fighting, a pretty neat message.

These games are so precious to me. I don't suffer from depression, but I do have anxiety and ADHD. When covid shut the world down, I still had to go to work. My mom got really sick and I couldn't see her. I had fear/rage quit Bloodborne before, and now I saw it as my only way of coping with things I couldn't do anything about. I ended up playing DS3 on my computer so I wasn't hogging the television and I got my husband to play. We bonded so much through our experiences with it. It didn't matter that the network shut down and we couldn't play in each other's games. We sat side by side and cursed our way through the catacombs and Anor Londo. We both cried at the completion of Siegward's quest. When Elden Ring came out, we both played together in the same way, only now we could do caves and crypts together. We helped other people face tough bosses. We even got some of his co-workers to play and helped them get their bearings in Limgrave. Great video!

Senua's hellblade sacrifice had the same effect on me. I absolutly adore DKS and elden ring but it didn't speak to me on a personal level, I just like being beaten to shit in video games, it makes them so much more satisfying when you actualy beat them. Senua on the other hand... watching that woman struggle for hours against her own mind just infused me with motivation to get shit's done. Whenever I'm losing my time for no reason, I think of her determination, of her face, and it keeps me going. Video games can be a blessing and a curse but more importantly, it is a big part of who we are nowadays. Stay strong my friend and long may the sun shine \[T]/

I know how you feel when I play souls trilogy, I'm still playing ds3 until this day cause of one boss couldn't beat named sister friede and other bosses but she's one of my cause and refer to as my life what I have now so instead of facing head on I need to go ghost for a while get stronger to fight her just like in my life and this video maybe a year old now but still know how it feels.

While this was an amazing video, I personally don't think I'll be touching these DS games anytime soon as I myself sometimes have difficulty tolerating frustrating things, including some stuff in video games.
