Multi strand star knot

In this tutorial we take a look at how to tie a multi strand star knot.
This technique can be used with different numbers of strands, with 5 or more being the most common.
It works particularly well with braids.
The knot can serve well as a transitional knot, as well as a decorative knot in its own right.

Thank you for the tutorial. I was looking forward an example of the final tuck which you didn’t show :( Also, I’ve never seen the bottom tucked into the “side loops”. Ashley (ABOK #881) seems to show them going across and up (6th diagram). No matter, this is still a good tutorial

great video,i got the knot after 4 or 5 failures.what kind of materials do you use to make baskets?i learned how to make watermelon baskets from an 88 yr old itailian man from hazelnut splints that he showed me how to process
