I just did a A/B comparison between the 800Fs and 100F - the 800Fs sound very very nice but the 100F are noticeably better sounding in every way - much more beautiful finish too

Hello there...well I got the 80f (100f to big) partly on your comment's..Yes very nice..I had the Premier 700f and I would say that theses sound twice as good ..fit and finish a huge leap forward..Thanks for your review..

i have fried every paradigm speaker up until the founders! i run a 400w rotel in a open living space. high ceiling lots of glass. i bi wired the furthest from the amplifier.these 4 speakers give me all that i can take.3 years still rocking out. i might need hearing aids now 😅

Thanks for the great review. Would you consider a NAD M28 purifi amp tight and controlled enough for the 100Fs? Do find it keeps my current speakers really tight but they’re in a lower league than the founders.

The treble is smooth for sure but as you say still resolving. These are hifi, refined but not boring and capable of rocking out. I reckon they'd shred with metal and drum n 'bass that lives and dies in the mid bass!

I listened to these at my local hifi shop (Monmouth Stereo in Shrewsbury, NJ). Tracks were Tool's "Chocolate Chip Trip" which is amazing for imaging and instrument separation, Sohn's "Tremors" for that wall-of-sound experience, and TesseracT's "Tourniquet" (P o r t a l s version) to really test the low end. I couldn't believe that I was listening without a sub. We hooked up the 80Fs immediately after on the same setup, same tracks, and the 100s are well in a different league. My closest comparison are between the B&W 702 S2 vs 704 S2 in terms of difference between soundstage, but a MUCH bigger price gap between the 702s and 100Fs.

Definitely smoother with a fuller midrange and better base integration. Paradigms have been known in the past to be forward or bright. Not the new founders. Make no mistake, these are very detailed. Just smooth as well

Will they pair good with Mark Levinson amplifiers?

They sound fantastic on our 5805 at the shop. I’ve also used my Proceed Amp (early Levinson design) 5 to run a founders set in surround. It’s very subjective but I liked it.

Aluminum; pronounced as it's spelled. Do not let the backwards British variant confuse you. You aren't British.

If you are from north America, it's pronounced aluminum. If you are a limey...aluminium.
