This is great stuff. I really like how you use pairs of pictures to create a contrast and use the contrast to get the meaning across. This is just what I need right now for Russian, keep it up and I wish you success with the channel

why do some of your videos including this one, required adult verification?
@InhaleRussian2 ай бұрын
In these videos I mention alcohol, drugs, sex or other topics that might be considered inappropriate for non adults. I don't know If I need to care about it but international community in the Internet is quite sensitive and touchy, so I'd rather play safe

These videos are really very useful, please keep on going! Maybe to make them even better you could add a vocabulary list of the words you highlight in the video
@InhaleRussian3 ай бұрын
Thank you! As for words, I don't think that reading is useful on early stages. On the contrary I believe that reading too early may lead to pronounciation mistakes in future. When we read we make strong connection between what we see and how we want it to sound. Many russian words are not read as they're written. So personally I think that reading should be added after the point where you are already very familiar with pronounciation and sounding of words (which is not earlier than 300 hours of listening according to my experience). Of course there's no universal true method of learning whatever language but this is my vision and I'm developing this channel following my vision. Sorry!

@@InhaleRussian No need to apologise, that's a very interesting and respectable point of view. I personally feel like seeing the words in combination with what they sound like strongly supports my ability of memorising them. It's true that spelling in Russian has many irregularities, but in my opinion getting familiar with these inconsistencies at an early stage will only make it easier to get a grasp on them in the long run. But of course, follow your own vision, I will keep watching nonetheless haha

Thank you so much for the great vocabulary, Nikita! I distinctly remember watching an old Twilight Zone episode about this. Sadly it wasn't in Russian! Cheers!

Interesting! I've never heard about Twilight Zone. I found this story by searching famous parables in the Internet.
@theeyesofisaac77683 ай бұрын
@@InhaleRussian it's a good one, in whatever form it takes! As with all good parables, I'm sure there are many variants out there.
