Was just here about a month ago as well during the wild flower festival. Absolutely beautiful. We camped in the mountain range near South Crested Butte off of Cement Creek Road, then did Schofield Pass and Emerald Lake the next day. Can't wait to go back.

Been all over that country...but, keep the secret. Don't advertise it just for the sake of the number of views. I can remember when it was never a problem with finding camp spots, but now, thanks to social media, it'll never be the same.

The secret has been out for quite some time haha. I think I have a slightly different view on it. While I would love to have my pic of campsites all the time, the popularity helps to keep the trails more maintained and if others are willing to put in the effort to get out and see these beautiful places, then I hope they do. I think too few people actually get out and experience what this country has to offer. Also, with less than 300 subscribers, im sure im making very little impact on that front hahah. Thanks for watching brotha! Hope you stick around 🤙

It's not social media. We have 8 billion people on this planet now and we all have a right to it.

Townsite of Schofield. It's all private property. The waterfalls are on private property. The cabin has an owner. Soon enough, the area will be designated camping only.... the Maroon portal is already permit only.....

Appreciate you sharing that!

@TheOutboundLane please understand, I love your content. Look into onX map or others to determine where you are at. The area around the butte is highly protrolled by environmentalists coming from Gothic. Vail ski has overmarketed the place, and it is nothing like it was 5, 10, 30 years ago.

If your still up there, go past the falls and on to marble. SLOW GROVIN BBQ is killer.

We definitely do our best to avoid trespassing when we are out exploring. I'll take a look into that app! Unfortunately we are not up there anymore, most of our camping trips are just a night or 2 because we work during the week. Thanks for watching, I hope you stick around for more!

Just curious, have you tried an OEM thermostat? I had an issue with my 97 staying too cool and come to find out, it was an aftermarket thermostat that had gone bad in just a few short years. I also found what appeared to be shavings/little pieces of the thermostat stuffed into a small hole that the thermostat rests against. Just something to try. They're about $45.

Thanks for mentioning that! I actually replaced it with an OEM one when I replace my timing belt and a few other things. I did make sure it was in the correct orientation too. I noticed my ac condenser is extremely clogged and most of the fins are trashed. So I will be replacing that here soon

@@TheOutboundLane oh yeah, anything that blocks air flow through the radiator will cause it to be too hot. So that makes sense. Btw, where did you find your rear window organizers? I've been looking for a cheap option and those seem to fit the bill 🙏
@TheOutboundLane2 ай бұрын
Yeah exactly! Really hoping that's the main cause. It probably has like 25% flow currently. The window organizer is definitely a helpful thing to have. I actually made the one I have (the off the shelf were more than I wanted to pay at the time?. Just cut and bent some steel rod pieces and welded her up. Not as pretty as the laser cut versions, but functional.

@@TheOutboundLane oh that's sick! It looks so professional. That would explain why I can't find it lol. The molle panels are abit ridiculous at $150+ per panel. I might have to try making my own as well.
