In my humble opinion, the album “draconian times”, from which this song is from, is the best album of the group. An absolute masterpiece. By the way, this album is almost 30 years old, it’s quite old, but they only made this lyric video a couple of years ago. But the album itself is as old as mammoth shit 😆 I’ve been loving Paradise Lost for many years now. I highly recommend the song from their latest album and the video for it, the song is an absolute masterpiece, it’s called “darker thoughts” ✌️

The melancholy and atmosphere of Paradise Lost songs can really get under your skin (in a good way!) - they are masters of Doom and Gothic Metal (they basically pioneered the genre!) I've been a fan of them since 1992 - they remain my favourite....

I was 19 the year this album rolled out. I remember going for late night walks in the middle of winter with my cassette walkman playing the hell out of this album. Wore that tape out big time. Great memories though.

Paradise lost are from my county of Yorkshire. They have a massive and loyal following since the band's inception in 1988. The only country on earth that has never heard of them is sadly you Yanks. Btw they also coined the phrase Gothic METAL and the Are THE BAND that started Doom/Death metal (one band out of the Peace ville Three) you need to react to more of them.
