Paradise Valley - Imouzzer Ida Outanane - Morocco - Part. 1
GPS coordinates: 30.587848, -9.531912
Duration: 3 hours round trip
We arrived around 9:00 am at Paradise Valley and the parking was almost full. It must be said that parking is not very big. However, it is also possible to park your vehicle on the side of the road. The price of parking is 10 dirham.
After putting on our hiking shoes, we took a small path that rises in the mountains.
We arrived at a crossroads and first turned left. As we did not see anyone on the horizon and there were several other people in front of us at the start, we decided to turn back and go instead right. It was the right way to go.
After scanning the horizon that offered us a nice panorama, we started our descent into the valley.
We pass small huts that serve as restaurants and cross small streams to tail-leu-leu since a group of us had preceded.
Already, we notice the clarity of the water! Tables and chairs are installed directly in the stream, inviting visitors to a moment of relaxation and refreshment.
In less than half an hour, we went to the first natural pools where it is possible to bathe.
However, we did not linger there because we planned to go first to another pool which is about 1.5 km walk from the first basins.
So we walked the path that climbs the mountain. It was very hot and the flies were in great numbers and harassing us. It was not, however, mosquitoes that could have bitten us.
The path then descends to reach the level of the wadi. We weave through the rocks to reach the natural basin.
This one offers a lot more privacy. Some people were already there when we arrived and had fun diving or swimming in this refreshing water.
After a short break, we decided to return to our starting point. To our surprise, we met several puppies with their mother. They were so happy to see us.
As far as we are concerned, we were so sad to leave and to know that they had probably been abandoned by their master. They were all so cute!
Little anecdote: I have to tell you that when we returned, we could not find the path of return. The rocks and trees in the forest are all alike.
I followed my spouse and found ourselves climbing the mountain. However, we arrived at a point where it was impossible to continue our journey. So we went back to where we started.
Alain moved away and was still looking for the entrance to the path when I happily saw two people emerge from the forest. So I was able to find the trail entrance.
In Part 2, you will have the opportunity to discover the pools and waterfalls of the Paradise Valley.
