Paradox EVO192 Firmware upgrade from 128K to 256K

Hi Jason, thanks for your awesome video series - I'm updating a EV192, I managed to do the first update, but now the second one just crashed or exits the application on me. For reference, I'm using an IP-180 and internet connection mode. Any insights, or ideas to fix?

When upgrading to the 256K you can't jump the firmware version. What firmware version do you have right now? If there's a version you need I can add it to my site for you.

@@JasonTech I went from a really old version 2.x? -> upgrader 256K_V1_00_001, that part went fine. Going from the upgrader version to 7_01_004 (or anything really) is where i'm hitting a wall. Right now i'm on the upgrader version (1_00_001) the panel status light is flashing green quickly, the lcd keypad is displaying control panel communication error (I assume because i'm on the upgrader version). I tried to reboot / reset the panel, and can no longer get in via in-field, it says the panel serial number is invalid even if i'm using the same one. I'll try to connect to it using serial/usb to see if I get lucky.

What panel do you have?

paradox has new panel that have the + on them. Do not use those firmware unless you have that +. (Like EVOHD vs EVOHD+)

@@JasonTech The panel is a Digiplex EVO 192, no luck with the USB adapter either, infield just shuts down when it tries to connect. Do you know if there's a way to revert to stock firmware or something beyond the factory reset?

having an issue with NEware downloading the programming from all the EVO192's vi IP150, the IP150 connection is stable but I loose connection the the 192 all the time and the panel download never finishes. Do you think updating firmware will help this, running firmware 4.63

Yes, but you don't need to go to 256K just upgrade it to v6.90. And make sure your IP150 has the latest firmware update
