While i do like the new layout in GT7, my only complaint is the enviorment. In GT3 you actually had the feel of racing through a massive forest, with trees almost covering the track at some parts. A gorgeous landscape. In GT7 you're racing in the border of a field with only a (not that deep either) forest section. Everything else, just nice.

it mostly had to do with the way old tube CRTs worked. Simplifying a little, these old TVs didn't displayed a picture through pixels but through lines. Due to the way these lines were made and lit up, they would blend the rough edges and atenuate the wobbliness of the ps1. Think about it - maybe it is for safety reasons? Tracks in real life don't have much trees near the road due to maybe marshals' ease of access, and having too many trees could hinder medical cars and such. While I would agree with how downgraded it is (quite a disappointment), these redesigns make it feel like an actual track that was built in the US (Trial) and Switzerland (Deep Forest).

Nothing better than nailing that last corner before the home stretch on the final lap. Flat out, no brakes, clip the corner, sliding to the shoulder. I had a few close calls that all came down to that last corner. I don't think many people realize that if you approach wide, clip the corner and exit wide you can just hoon it straight through without lifting. Shame they changed it in 7. Even thought it is faster it's much smoother. Just doesn't quite have that same thrill to it. I think that last hairpin just takes away too much.

I noticed there are some distinct differences between GT3 & 4. In GT3, there are two blocked off support roads between the 1st and 3rd Turn that both don't appear in GT4, also the tarmac on the inside of Turn 4 is actually grass in GT3. Also there's sand in GT4 on the right side where's another blocked off support road in GT3 after the 2nd tunnel followed by a further support road not appearing in GT4 either. Furthermore, before the 3rd Tunnel, GT3's version features overhanging trees while they appear to be cut completely in GT4. In General, GT3 Features more trees which are also closer to the track than GT4, a bit "darker" tone and also more immersive light beams shining through the treetops in the middle section. Therefore, GT3 gives you the feeling of actually Racing, as the Name implies, inside a "Deep Forest", while GT4 seems to be more modern and closer to an actual rl Racetrack. I also noticed that GT3's version is almost a direct continuation of the PS1 era Variants, while the Version showed on GT4 seems to be a sort of an overhaul with the aim of giving the track a more "modern" and overall more serious look. Interestingly, the Same can be said about Trial Mountain imo (e.g. removing the Yellow Markers on the tarmac).

And I have nothing against the GT7 version, but some or a lot of trees are missing. Either way, NOT-SO-DEEP FOREST RACEWAY AM I RIGHT? As I said in the GT7 promo for this track, at least the long straightaway and the first 9 corners, and the first two tunnels, are still intact. And I agree with the legacy track that should be added in GT7. Otherwise, I got used to this version, even though it is harder for some that attempted.

I absolutely abhor what GT7 has done with tracks in this game. Taking out all the legacy tracks from past games except for a few. Even the ones they left in the game they felt the need to tamper with them beyond recognition.

Haven't played GT since 5, but I could've sworn I remember that long straigh extension with the sharp turn being in GT5.
