Great memories. My cousins live in Hull. Paragon Park was a blast, and walking across the street to Nantasket beach was the second-best beach next to the beach in Maine, called Gooseneck or something like that name???? I forgot but will remember soon and will edit this post

Who remembers stopping the boat on the Congo Cruise?

I do. As wild teenagers, getting drunk and partying at Paragon park was fun in the early 80's. We always backed up the boats.

In my mid-teens, a bunch of us would walk from Hyde Square in Jamaica Plain to the Egleston Square MBTA station. From there, we'd take the bus to Mattapan Square and then catch a Brush Hill bus to Nantasket Beach.

As far as amusement parks go, it was kind of dumpy. But when you're a kid you don't care. Went downhill fast in the 70's and 80's.
