Paragon Steel Gameplay - A CHANGED MAN?!

I love Paragon and have played so much of it at this point. Currently sitting at low diamond Elo and I am always wanting to play but I just can't enjoy it anymore for 2 reasons. 1) fighters have been and continue to be too fucking strong, Epic has no fucking clue how to balance them like "good mobility (check), high damage (check), high armor (check), high health (check)". Then they put in stupid ass cards like unstable cyborg and the like "yeah so this Kwang is fighting Fey, Fey is doing pretty well but unluckily for Fey; Kwang has unstable Cyborg". This comment is in light of an experience where a Kwang kept harassing me because I did more damage to myself than I could to him. Pair that with Thorned Yomi and you can kill anyone while sitting AFK and drinking your mojito. 2) The Elo cap is too low thanks to low population and I get no pleasure out of getting continually stomped by the pros. I've beaten them plenty of times but all it takes is them duo queueing and the team cohesion is just so spot on there is nothing you can do about it unless you too spend that much time playing and studying the game with a team of your own. Anyway I just needed to rant and wanted to ask what everyone else's opinion was of the game. TL;DR Fighters too strong, Elo cap too low... tell me your opinions.

I'm sorry Brandon I hope you keep trying to enjoy the game, I definitely understand where your coming from with the cards, so of them if they get them early by rushing makes it really hard for me, Idk if anyone else feels the same, Numbing Rogue has been buffed and it's now become a menacing card to deal with from Kwang, Greystone, Rampage, some supports, I see a lot of them rushing to Rogue now it's incredibly hard to counter early game even with me running Yomi guardian and trying to find some cards that will help my time, I personally feel, Rampage is too strong at the moment, Kwang is still broken even after a hard nerf, Rev is getting out of hand with Deathcrawler, Rooting Ult, and Heavy Hitter. Sevarog can be ridiculously tanky now, which I kinda like from the months of being unviable, I main Narbash however and I've been playing other heroes, Deathcrawler is gross now even Kallaries wil run it from time to time. It just sucks for me because when you had way more options in v41, I was just starting Paragon so I couldn't really elaborate on a lot of the cards and kinda of got swept up by v42. I learned the game at this point, I wish I would have learned more earlier on. If Epic Games would entertain the hybrid card system, I would be interested to see how it would turn out. Jungle is pretty dumb easy at the moment if your running flame lol I wonder what they will do next, I do enjoy paragon for the most part, and I have friends that play with me. So most of our games go well but you know we have that one person overextending, and with the movement speed nerf, to every character in the game, it's so easy to get caught out of place ugh. Lol sorry I'm rambling but you know take what you will from my words I know there is a lot of stuff going on with the community. I'm just a Faithful Paragoner

the idea behind steel is that he is a tank with a shield. So removing the only shield ability on a tank/shield hero makes no sense

Would steel work well with aoe cards since he is built around melee and stuns? An aoe in the time he takes to stun could help kill enemies faster. Or cards that slow, give blight or reduce attack speed with his ult and you get a huge stun to kill people.

RGSACE I think you should work on using your sheild more. Remember not only does it block projectiles, it also slowes enemys that pass through it. Use this to slow down enemies who are trying to get away.

They ruined Steel for me. I loved playing him in v42 esp in the offlane. W the lack of that bullrush as the gap closer, escape or engage tool, he's lack luster now. It also killed his only way of wave clear (before getting cyborg or a withering card). They should have replaced bulwark instead. Also, why change a hero that had about a 50% winrate according to Agora.gg? Maybe rework a hero w a 30ish% winrate like Rev or Wraith and leave the 50% hero alone...or maybe work on fixing your game or developing a new hero "#every3weeks" instead. So sad

Gotta think about the fact that the game is still in beta and there are a lot of "iconic" things in Paragon the devs just believe don't work out. Can you really call an ability iconic just because it's been there for a while and has been used in the trailers? The trailers were never meant to show what the game was supposed to be, just the style of Paragon and its heroes. Besides: The charge was a bad CC ability anyways. Steel was designed to be able to control a team fight, not run away from it.

Hooded Havoc cannot use the excuse its in beta anymore the games been out and people have been playing it for a while they have redone the game 4 times now and each time they have killed any hope of balance and yes abilitys that are in the launch trailer for the alpha are iconic and steel was probably one of the more balanced heroes and he loses his escape makes no sense what so ever! Honestly my opinion on EPIC as game developers is they have no idea what they are doing may the rate paragons been going I wouldn't be surprised if it takes the same time as it took thier crap zombie crafting game to come out I played that in testing too it was polished af and yet they said it's still not done that thing was getting updates for 2 years before actually coming out there were no bugs whatsoever and now it's released and the same flaws still exist........ Paragon was fresh and new and honestly fireing they guy that made legacy and made the game different is why this game will never recover its playerbase Because me and a lot of other players that liked the game for being different want no part of this 3rd person hero shooter with pointless towers
