Hello fellow players! I wanted to send this email to the epic games team but I want to know what you guys think about it. I will play a few matches in monolith eventually but I have seen a TON of gameplay and have read enough comments/first impressions/people-who-have-played-monolith long enough to know what you guys got right, and got wrong in this new update on Paragon. Before I get into this I want to say Congrats on your bravery and changes to the games. Not a lot of other developers have the balls to do updates like this and I love it! Ok, lets get into it. GOOD STUFF: New Map Increased movement speed- This is the best part of Monolith, thank you EPIC Hero reworks Jump Pads- YASSS Different Buffs Amber Link BAD STUFF No option to choose between the maps Bad Textures- These can be fixed with time however Smaller Map - (Its ok to have a smaller map but then a player spot should be taken away so as to not have constant fighting. Don't get me wrong Paragon is a wonderful action oriented game but the new maps length would lend better to a unique 4v4 match.) Unified speed - (The new increased speed is good, but travel mode animations still need to be there, they don't even have to upgrade the speed. Just have it so that the characters do something. Card Changes - (Ability and Basic is fine but the unified stat power is not enjoyable. I don't want Paragon to dissolve into a "whoever has the most power wins" MOBA and that what it is becoming. Amber link - (PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, the amber link is a new and exciting good addition to Paragon. It is just super-under-powered. People now refer to jungling as useless because it basically is, the amber link, (when it is full) should dish out like 3 card points. What it gives out now is a joke and lessens the faster gameplay you have advertised. Also it doesn't feel critically important to protect. People feel obligated to do something, but it should feel like: OMG SOMEONE IS ATTACKING MY AMBER LINK THAT IS BASICALLY LIKE ATTACKING AN INHIBITOR! All in all EPIC it was a good attempt at changing much needed parts of the game and I applaud your bravery. Now the only glaring problems are the things I have mentioned above. Not trying to sound vain or anything but the points I have mentioned are CRITICAL for keeping and growing your fanbase. If you do not believe me about these changes, post this email on the website and ask what players think. Because I am 100% sure that they will agree. PARAGON TEAM: YOU HAVE THE BEST MOBA ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW, PLEASE DON'T MESS THIS UP!!!

from my experience if nobody jungles on your side your team is positively screwed. There has been massive changes to the jungle where they changed the jungle from a selfish role into a team oriented one. he will not grow faster than his teammates every match like he did previously because taking minion camps is more for global xP than it is for the jungler. I've seen upward of 760 global xP every 2 minutes that's quite a bit and it didn't involve invading the enemy jungle or raptor camps. the problem is it's much harder to notice when you are being fed that global xP so people arnt realizing the benefit they are getting from the jungle. Previously you'd see the players face and xP number now well it's kinda just put in there.

why do you put major casts on twin at 3:23 ? he's physical damage. or does it mean that major casts now increase the damage of the abilities and major strikes only increase the basic attacks damage?

Casts and Strikes are now the same thing, they both increase power. They changed this in the Monolith update :)

Health pots weren't nerfed, they were merely adjusted to the actual health per cp nerf. Strictly speaking you could even argue that they were buffed, considering that you now regen 360% of what you would get for a single CP (as opposed to 300% before this update).

What's the point of Twinblast's new ultimate now that you need to build pen for both basic & ability attacks ? I know he is a ranger, but his new ult seems only good now to go fast and spray&pray, the bonus speed is not worth the cost of it being an ultimate with long cooldown compared to normal ability, and the damage will be low because of not building ability pen and missing a lot of shots. So basically Twinblast is still the worst ranger. Another question : Do abilities deal decent damage now on towers? Because as a mage you are going to build pen for abilities, but you'll not be able to use it on tower (because low damage), and be stuck with basic attacks to deal damage towers.

I personally use it to kill people who are running away because it has a way longer range than the auto-attacks

Poilou Tuktuk True, but it's a lot riskier because you need to stand still and you also need to have good aim. With Murdock if you miss, you're done. But Twinblast has a whole barrage of shots so your aim doesn't need to be that good.

I don't know if Narendur's maths take TB's abilities into consideration when calculating max DPS. His RMB benefits from crit and dmg, but atk spd makes no difference, while his ULT benefits from DMG only. I know that most of your dmg will come from basic attacks, but I'm just saying that the math needs to take the abilities into consideration since pros will use their dmg abilities in a teamfight as soon as they are available.

If you land a crit for say 1000 (keeping it simple) and you have 30 Lifesteal, you'll get 300 health back.

Chris Hagins max your rapid fire ability first. Then probably grenade but if you want a lower cooldown on your dash you can do that next, I think dash is pretty bad so I usually max it last

Nosotros Loco As of now they are the same, they both give you Power. The only difference is building ability pen or basic pen, which allow your Power to penetrate through your basic attack or abilities.

you say this deck curves well, but you take small amounts of crit chance "here and there" which means you sacrifice damage for a terrible crit chance early on through the mid game. this is just my opinion but I think you should take 3 damage/attack speed cards then get all your crit chance at once, this way you're not wasting damage hoping for a crit chance that isn't going to happen. Just makes a lot more sense to me bruh

The only time we invest in real points for crit are in the redeye nitro towards the end, the rest have crit as a built in stat which is what you need. Even though you don't have 250% crit bonus having 150% crit is good with you building up crit chance slowly. The build curves pretty much on par with the Math for maximum DPS, so you might think what you're suggesting is right but it's almost always a bad idea to build crit chance at once in Paragon, you should have it throughout the game and you'll see this is how pretty much all the top diamond players build :)

I'm still going to have to disagree with you there. Missing out on guaranteed damage and hoping for crit chance is completely opposite of how diamond players build decks. If every fourth shot does 150% damage then let's say your doing 100 damage with 25% crit. You'll do a total of 450 damage, yet if you ditch the crit til later and add straight up damage (let's pretend 25% crit = 20 damage) then you'll do 480 Damage in four shots instead of 450... BTW 25% Crit Costs way more than it does to get 20 points of damage... Like at least double. Not trying to be an ass bag or anything honestly. It just doesn't hold weight when you say Diamond players do this when it's not true... I would to hear your response to this for the sake of knowledge and what not :) PS. This coming from a Low Plat Player who only solo queues.

TheGreyDoughnut the guys that use this deck are literally top 100 on agora that's why I credited Narendur for giving me the build. You also have to remember that his triple shot does crit which is valuable. Don't you remember when people would build 5 micro-nukes and what not? This is because building crit over time is useful...it's not points invested heavily, Micro-Nuke is a damage heavy card with more points into damage than crit. What I don't understand is you said it's better to build Damage first but that's exactly what we did lol
